For 15 Years we Lose...

Happy we won this game! Not happy that our staff refuses to put a team away!

Our defense can only spare the energy to go all out a few times a game! And when they did tonight, what did we do? Sit on the ball and try to run out the clock again, allowing the game to be in jeopardy.

Go down and score with 6 minutes and put the game completely out of reach!

...this kind of game.

CJH has tightened things up A LOT and we should be grateful.

One tiny complaint: Don't get conservative with a 17 point lead.
The only conservative thing I saw was just rushing 4 when we were up 17 and they were 3rdand 8. Ninety percent of the time when we brought pressure good things happened. Ten Percent when we rushed 4.

If this is what tightening up looks like, sheese. The penalties, mistakes, missed tackles, etc...very lucky to get a win.

Same for Fulmer. What is it about our best coaches?
Majors played safe most of his career here, the entire game. Fulmer only started doing it after the Natty. Honestly, it aggravated me to no end how Fulmer, the last several years, relied on luck to win. A penalty at the end of the game or a turnover or two at the end.

I am blown away. Arkansas has been embarrasing Tennessee for a long time. I really thought people would be happy about any win over them.
I think everyone just knows in the back of their mind that Heup keeps proving hes a 10 win coach, and we also know Heup is almost there and could be better so we say "get it together coach!". I'm over the moon about 10 wins, coming from someone who cant remember before 2002. Just saying.

I don't know man, keeping a 10-win coach for a while seems okay. That's significantly better than the last two decades.

Congrats to Petrino and his team. They were playing for their lives, and nearly caught us off guard. It is a great WIN but, leaves a hallow feeling in my stomach, as our defense cannot afford to be so porous as to allow Bama and the other upcoming SEC foes 500+ yards per game - not unless of Offense racks up 1,000 yards.

Every single SEC game for the rest of our lives will be a dog fight fought in the trenches. To think any SEC foe will be a pushover is insane. Am proud of the coaching staff and players for playing hard all 60 minutes.

Go Vols
