Well, (see above but), sometimes it matters how you win

If you're playing a "Top 10" team and winning by a FG (even if you're ranked above 'em) is what you want

Shoot! Even if you're playing a "team receiving votes" on the road most folks will say, "Playing on the road is tough" but if it's ETSU? You oughta control the game, not have to sweat a win (see MSSt)

Now here comes AR, coach fired and all, lost to Memphis FFS, into your house (forgot, maybe most important, after a bye) and gives you a game? And, this wasn't a "never as close as the score looks" game.

This was a "Holy s***, TN's D might not stop a high school thank god we were two scores up in the 4th qtr at home kind of game"

I expected a close game. This isn’t a Sam Pittman coached team any more. Anyone who thought we would blow out a Bobby Petrino coached team when he had two weeks to prepare a game plan doesn’t know football.

Clock management defense paired with conservative offensive play calling. A recipe for disaster we are lucky to win that one.

Agreed. It gives the defense time to sub and adjust to our packages. Best to run NASCAR and keep them off balance. Don’t slow down until you’re up by 50.
