That’s two games now where Joey refused to keep an obvious first down at the end of the game to get the first and close it out. People are quick to blame Heupel for being conservative, but Joey is handing it off into the pressure instead of keeping it for an easy first. Maybe heupel should quit putting it in Joeys hands there? But that’s on Joey I think. He had so much open grass

I think Joey is told to hand it off unless explicitly told otherwise, due to depth.

Defense kind of stabilized that game for us. 100%.

34 points against that defense with a plus-three turnover margin isn’t very good.

There is an "Official Head Coach Search Thread" thread. Meanwhile absolutely no one thinks Penn State will pay nearly 60 million to buy Franklin out. Here are some comments:

This guy is still carrying so much currency from one Superbowl win against a team he had the playbook for.

"Any thought on if PSU would even look at Gruden?"

2.Saban
3.Meyers (sell our soul to take next step)"


Just grabbing a couple from the game thread.

"Is he still here? 5 yard passes, 50% of which are uncatchable. Is he still here? Do we even teach the fundamentals like tackling? First guy ALWAYS misses. Is he still here?"

"Maybe we should join the MAC?"

I’d hire Gruden as HC , Saban as DC and Urban as OC.

Agreed there. Take the W against what we know is a really good Arkansas offense and having to contend against the refs. Time for the boys to focus on the gumps and win again
