This may be the best all-around offense I’ve seen since the VOLS adopted me in 1993.
  • Aguilar should be in the Heisman conversation
  • The line is protecting Joey and making holes
  • Running back crew is quick, run with power, deep
  • One of the best skilled group of receivers running routes and making big plays
  • Great use of tight ends
Go ahead… fire away!

Tough catch to be fair. Especially from the tight end. Also wasn't a first down even if caught.

Sorry but this is the worst defense Heupel has had here. 2022 defense was better for sure. Offense seems pretty good but we will definitely drop a game soon if we don’t get Jermod back soon.

I recall 2 passes that were dropped today (one a touchdown, the other a 1st down in FG range)… I’m thinking at least one other. Not their best game. As a season though, receivers have been great.

Yup Matthews dropped a probable TD. Kits dropped a back shoulder TD. And I believe Staley dropped the first down pass.

WRs really need to pick it up. They have a QB that will get them the ball. Not running on a route is inexcusable to me.

OL has gotta get more disciplined. Too many presnap penalties.

Certainly were a couple dimes thrown by Joey for big gains and perhaps scores that receivers backed off their route and didn’t get under.

Thing is that we have only played one ranked team and got beat. Had to survive to beat Ms state. If ark hadn't had the turnovers we would have lost that game. We can't average getting 30pts scored against us to make it to the playoffs and get past the first game. We will know sat how we stack up against a great defense and a great offense. If we get smoked bad, all we can hope for is a good bowl game. Oklahoma and Vandy are defensive minded teams also. It starts sat. Simpson is balling right now. Ala secondary is also playing tight coverage.

Defense on this team is an issue… but out of scope for this thread. My position is I consider the VOL OFFENSE the most COMPLETE (combined QB, RBs, WRs TE, line) since I started watching in 1993.
