As an impartial observer that game was epic. Both were deserving of the victory. Thanks buddy. Fortunately I wasn’t able to watch or listen or even get updates to the game. Was driving my parents back from the Orlando airport. Opened the espn app to check the score at 2:30 this morning, saw it went 15 innings. Closed it. It still stings.
I once got cleated by a runner intentionally as I was outstretched on a throw to first. Ripped my sock open and drew blood. I looked at the ump, pointed to my blood soaked ankle and said “If y’all aren’t going to do anything about this then we will.” He said “Hey we don’t need any of that.” Then I said “All I’m saying is if y’all don’t handle this then we are about to.” And then I threw my glove against the fence and said a few bad words because the burning finally set in after a minute. They didn’t eject anyone. Nutless. We ended up hitting a grand slam our proceeding AB, run ruled them and didn’t even shake their hands after the game. Waved bye to them as they left our field headed to their bus. That interaction is what fueled my hatred for umpires to this dayCaution .... Billy Bad Ass straight ahead.![]()

Oh yeah a high school base runner accidentally “missed” stepping on first base running in a straight line on a ground ball lol. Whenever you are running track you are right on top of each other the entire race. I’m surprised there aren’t more accidents. In my teen years of running track, I once accidentally stepped on a dude's foot
with my track cleated shoes that drew blood too. He didn't get mad at me for it.
Except we we're running at that time.Oh yeah a high school base runner accidentally “missed” stepping on first base running in a straight line on a ground ball lol. Whenever you are running track you are right on top of each other the entire race. I’m surprised there aren’t more accidents.
