Love Coach G and what he's done to help rebuild, but he's not irreplaceable. As long as Heupel doesn't insist on promoting from within, and as long as Danny is willing to pay, we should be able to find comparable should Coach G decide to move on. But until something actually happens, it's just much ado about nothing.

Still and always will be my favorite Vol team...22 comes close, if it wasn't for that stupid embarrassing South Carolina game it would probably be tied.

I turned 17 in July 85, and that beautifully emblematic of what a Tennessee Volunteer is team happened just as my family moved us back home to Knoxville in June after being out in the Texas Panhandle for 5-6 years...when I got there all my Knoxville family and friends were of course all huge Volunteer fans and started pulling me into the fold...I will never forget the Auburn game, that was really the day I became a diehard Vol.

The season was such a massive roller coaster...the shock and pain of losing Tony Robinson in that hard fought Alabama game hit us all like a Mack truck, we were sure it was over...especially when the offense just ground to a halt in that 6-6 tie with a mediocre GT, only for unknown Daryl Dickey to suddenly rise up from nothing to become a real field general and lead us to 5 straight wins....and then there was that glorious night in New Orleans and that glorious spectacular absolute annihilation of a loaded Miami Hurricane team...🤯🤯🤯

I hope CFB survives this gross era with it's soul intact so other new Vols can be made as I was with those beautiful memories that live down deep in your soul.

Tennessee ain't letting someone else outbid Garner. Unless it's a promotion of some sort they couldn't match, I expect he'll re-sign eventually. JMO tho.
