Dude, there isn't a baseball stadium big enough to hold them. They came up here for 3 nights at the minor league stadium, cheapest seats were $100, they sold out all 3 nights instantly.

It's crazy how popular that thing is. They may not sell out Neyland, but I know for sure LN wouldn't be anywhere near big enough.

I grew up 15 minutes from Neyland, so I'm not sure proximity makes you an old curmudgeon about things like that lol. Why have a giant stadium sit empty all but 8 or so days a year?!
Yea, I have no issue with scheduling things like this and a few concerts. It’s not like it’s used every weekend. But use it for special events since we have it.

Edit: Kenny Chesney played in Neyland in 2003. It’s not a new thing.

I think it’s akin to the Harlem Globetrotters in that they are more gimmicky than actually playing the games. It’s supposedly a lot of fun and people do get really into it. However, I’m like you and just not into that kind of thing.
It's exactly like that. They'll do a case study on it some day in marketing classes. Whoever invented it is a genius and very very rich.

It’s similar to the Globetrotters in that it’s entertainment. However, they legitimately compete, and the opponent wins their fair share of games.

Incredible culture, music scene, food, bars open almost 24/7, Spanish moss and live oaks. They struggle with poverty and corruption like most large cities, and it’s hot s hell, but there’s a lot to like about the city. Sorry you didn’t.

Love Nola just avoid Bourbon St. Chicago and Nola have the best food scene of the large American cities. Charleston is great too
