2026 Lady Vols Recruiting

2026s offered by TN (# Hoopgurlz ranking):
* offer or reoffer by Kim posted
Minus just happened this past weekend. Flemings is this coming weekend. Lampley is the very end of the month.
How 'bout it, ladies. There's a no-downside decision y'all could make that would make @mcannon1's task much easier for the rest of the month. ;)

Not terribly unusual after a class like they signed last year. They have a young team at almost every position. Johnson is a senior and will be hard to replace but otherwise there isn’t going to be a lot of PT available for a while

I also suspect we will lose a 2026 player or two due to that as well. Signing a really good class of 5 for this season means we don’t need as much in 26 and can’t promise roles quite as openly.

I get your points. But why bother scheduling official visits to schools where the depth chart at your position is not to your liking?

I would think a recruit wouldn't necessarily be looking at the class of current freshmen at a school as a deterrent as much as they should be looking at juniors and seniors at their position when said recruit would be a freshman. There's no guarantee the class of 2025 will be living up to their recruiting rankings this coming season; that's actually a reason to wait until Spring to sign as you have a lot more info on the returning players skills and early success.

Odd as it sounds, there are freshmen who want to play fewer minutes and develop. Kim talked about this in a recent presser.

I like Gabby Minus has a nice jump shot, can rebound with the best of them. She would be a huge pickup for the Lady Vols. She is the player that would help replace a wing player like Whitehorn in the 2026 season.

She was ranked #44 by Hoopgurlz and downgraded to #62….. not sure how good she will become? However, I expect our coaches will make her a contributor to our team ! 🤔

Just from watching her highlights on Hudl I would say she is a better shooter than Whitehorn and just as good a driver to the basket and rebounder. I know Whitehorn was rated higher in her class, but I can see her taking those minutes and getting the job done. The highlights show a nice looking stroke of course she is making all them as they don't show the misses. I would be interested in what her percentages were this season. She certainly has a physical basketball body and would be a strong rebounder.

You can see from the short video that she moves well and has a nice stroke on her shot.

I don’t care what ranking a player has if they are an elite talent. Audi Crooks a few years ago was ranked No. 57. Aneesah Morrow was unranked.
Rankings are not a requirement to determine if a player is good enough to play at a top program like Tennessee

I believe Rae Burrell was ranked in the 70s or 80s and she was good enough to play at a top program like TN and the WNBA. GBO.

Gabby is a really talented player I don't care if she is ranked 150 by some service she passes the eye test in ability. She has the size and athleticism any program is looking for.
