Easy to read too much into an article, but FWIW... it was said of Lampley by 247 director of women’s basketball scouting Brandon Clay that “She is a capable scoring option, especially within 15 feet."

I wonder if our staff saw Abii having more potential to become that always desired threat from 3 than maybe they see in Lampley?

What you are talking about is why they have Prawl and Civil. You have to go back and watch games where these players have played against each other and that’ll help switch the narrative.
To be honest, these recent visits were going to happen either way. They just hadn’t been reported by the media. These recent developments have nothing to do with a single player. I think folks are putting way too much emphasis on that situation which I’m certain this staff has already moved on from.
They got Oliviyah Edwards and I’m for certain that’s the prospect in a position of need that they went all in on, and will continue to search hard for additional front court talent to replace the players graduating after this season.
There are only two players in this 2026 class changing recruiting boards and that’s Edwards/Hall.

My point was about Notre Dame recruiting and others that are more about show than substance. As far as Baylor goes, I think of that school in the same way I think of Chicken U.

It is a fan forum. I think the biggest disagreement I’ve had with @Rickster was over the “suggestions” i brought from another VN forum. He brings good value and contributes.

I just generally tend to avoid extended interactions.

Not terribly unusual after a class like they signed last year. They have a young team at almost every position. Johnson is a senior and will be hard to replace but otherwise there isn’t going to be a lot of PT available for a while

I also suspect we will lose a 2026 player or two due to that as well. Signing a really good class of 5 for this season means we don’t need as much in 26 and can’t promise roles quite as openly.
