I understand this and agree. I can see why elderly people wouldn't put much effort into learning our language when they have close family members to help them. Our brains dont absorb or learn language or anything else nearly as well as we age compared to children anyway. I assume that these folks came here legally though right? I dont know of anyone here that has a problem with legal immigration. Or likely has one with elderly people not assimilating. Most elderly people don't even interact with the public much and are retired. The problem is illegal immigrants, especially the criminal element and those on government benefits. The Dems have our federal government shut down as we speak while demanding FREE medical care for illegal immigrants which is 100% batsheit crazy. If the Republicans cave to this demand I am done with them. Permanently. I have worked my butt off for 32 years straight and my wife and kids have never had medical or dental insurance. Ever. Always had to pay out of my pocket. I just asked google what % of people in America* have private insurance and it said 66%. It then notes that even that 66% includes the people on Obamacare, in the military, on Tricare etc so its actually WAY less than that. Maybe half the people at best. Illegals shouldnt be here at all...especially the 20million Bidens handlers let in. Even worse, taxes taken from Americans paychecks...half of which have no insurance themselves...should never be spent providing free or subsidized healthcare to illegals which should be deported, not supported IMO. Hope your extended family members are doing well though. I wish yall nothing but the best regardless.

Most of this is BS as usual ("free healthcare for illegals" is entirely made up) but importantly, "illegal immigrants" and "people who don't speak English" are two different groups of people. Attacking the latter while saying it's because of the former is stupid

A country with multiple dialects where everyone does not know atleast one dialect fluently is easy to invade and hard to move forward industry wise. The Philippines is a good example as I lived there for a while. The multiple dialects creates mini countries within.

I don’t care at this point whether it is Spanish or English but this country needs one language everyone is require to know.

And yes it does create issues with road laws and signs here.
