The rumor is that half the Walton family doesn’t care at all about throwing money at sports. The other half that does wants to control it like the Haslams did.

Arkansas AD is correct to keep them at arms length.

True. But Im hoping we can slow them down and not have to win in a shoot out. Notre Dame held them to just 13 points in that beatdown.

Hopefully Banks & staff are watching how ND controlled them.

The whole concept of “bulletin board material” is so dumb. If something dumb an opponent says gives you extra motivation then you lack the internal drive to be a D1 athlete. I mean, you weren’t already motivated to play 100%?

You should email the coaching staff and tell them to stop wasting time trying to motivate the players. They are D1 players after all

Yeah they care mostly about art, mountain biking and academics. They’ve invested a lot in northwest Arkansas but nothing really for athletics other than having their logo on the field. It’s always funny how every other fanbase assumes they give tons of money though.

Rhett Lashlee’s wife has family pretty high in the Walmart chain so who knows that might change if he ends up being the next coach.

The Walton’s have given the school about a half a billion dollars over the last 20 years but apparently athletics is not where that money is going. The Walton Charitable Foundation is one of the highest to contribute to public university of all time.
