this is kind of misleading because it doesn't really factor in caliber of opponent. This actually isn't true
Just since 2000 to now, Tennessee's home record is:
48-2 at Noon/1pm
37-47 at 3:30/4pm
38-9 at 7:30 or later
CBS didn't have weekly prime time games. Their top game was the 3:30 window. Clearly ABC is using the night game for the most prominent matchupthis is kind of misleading because it doesn't really factor in caliber of opponent.
for instance our three toughest games every year on the schedule (Bama/GA/Fla) were ALWAYS 3:30 games. those late night games were mostly inferior competition.
Sometimes ABC selects the prime time game and one of those teams slips up five days later, making it no longer the biggest game the following week. Case in point Sept. 13 when Florida-LSU was huge on paper when game time was set 12 days prior, then USF beat the Gators in the Swamp, making our game with Georgia the biggest of the week. That’s why Gameday was here.Looking at SEC schedule for the 18th and the only game that I see that TV could consider a bigger matchup would be GA/Ole Miss. Think our game is still the bigger match up but TV makes the schedule so they get what they want.
It’s always hilarious when people say I post misleading stats. The poster made an incorrect statement and I posted the actual stats. It’s not misleading at allthis is kind of misleading because it doesn't really factor in caliber of opponent.
