yeah they went on strike. Big no no..they were warned not to. Folks are just "Getting sick" now in a not at all coordinated effort. Even their union said "please dont"..

Most people have to use pto/vacation when they’re sick and don’t have actual “sick” days. Government benefit packages are ridiculous and part of the reason it’s grossly inefficient.

Meh. It's a total benefits package like any other job. Your just shifting money. Get rid of the paid sick time the money shifts. More salary, more vacation time, more PTO time etc

Except most government jobs operate on tax dollars instead of being for profit. They SHOULD be the most efficient with the most moderate benefits.

Any institution, government or otherwise, that promotes affirmative action/dei isn’t looking for top talent.

One of my friends dad was an atc at TRI and he moved his whole family to virgin islands for over a year to avoid the strike.

Im going to let you in on a secret. If you hire people going off their resumes and interviews, affirmative action/DEI doesn't even come into play. Affirmative Action/DEI was always a "recommendation" when hiring, at least in the FAA. Source? Me hiring over 500 people.

Oddly enough anyone who told me their preferred pronouns on interviews never interviewed real well and didnt get hired. Weird how that works..
