President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

A lot of those scores and indexes are not true measures of healthcare quality either. For example life expectancy.

If you adjust for things like car crashes and drug overdoses, Americans lead the world in that category. We do not have car crashes due to a lack of quality care nor due to “access to care”.
I am not a fan of longevity comparisons, either. I do like comparisons of similar demographics, though.

You cannot nationalize America's version of health care. Our pharmaceutical usage, Dr visits, and surgical procedures are some of (if not the) highest usage in the world. And yet, we do not lead the world in health scores and quality of life indexes.
Change the laws as to what requires a Dr visit. In MX, pharmacists can diagnose many things and prescribe without Dr visits or prescriptions. So, for many/most things, you can go to the pharmacy, discuss your issues, get a prescription, and go home for the cost of the scrip.

You will never get the AMA to relinquish the revenue and power to do that in America.

We have car crashes because the government hasn't confiscated all the cars.

And Republicans seemingly don't understand why liberals compare him to Hitler.
Yall really need to stop watering down Hitler.

there are plenty of comparisons to make, outside of Hitler, that fit much better. Just because they have something in common, doesn't mean they are the same.

Trump isn't a Nazi.
Trump isn't a fascist, yes those are two different things.
Trump probably is an authoritarian or an oligarch. plenty of examples you could reference from those with major negative connotations.

if yall cared one lick about honesty or toning down division in this nation you would drop that rhetoric.

So your saying no country has universal health care?
I'm saying that if they do, the government doesn't "provide" it. The government takes wealth from those who worked for it and then uses it to pay for healthcare for everyone.

That's something that liberals don't seem to actively understand. Governments do not produce anything. They are merely middle-men that take from some to give to others, adding inefficiencies and bureaucracies into the process, while almost always robbing personal freedoms and increasing their power/control.

Social healthcare does not make healthcare cheaper. At best, it hides the costs as taxes. You added Germany to your list of countries that "provide healthcare to their citizens". Compare the tax rates between Germany and the US (and I would argue that US tax rates are already too high).

Because of a fundamental lack of knowledge and inability to come up with comparisons that make sense? I understand fully why you make the comparison. It's just a dumb, lazy, and crappy one.

I'm of the opinion that many would welcome a change in the healthcare system.
I'm of the opinion that those without health insurance would love to have health insurance.
I'm of the opinion that as a country we spend far more per capita on health care than is needed.
I'm of the opinion that there are hundreds of thousands of people getting rich in the health care industry who are adding nothing of value to the overall system.
I'm of the opinion that many things are best when not in the hands of strictly for profit open markets.
1. is this Obama level "hope and change" where nothing changes and you just have to hope it happens to work out for you this time? or is this change just for the sake of change, because the establishment is bad?
2. ok
3. and that has only increased, and the rate of increase has increased, the more our government has gotten involved.
4. and that is different than the government?
5. I doubt its all that "many" of things, at least when compared to the whole. I also bet you are basing this opinion on markets/industries that started out as for profit open markets, and or actively benefit from outside for profit open markets

I listened to her on the way in from lunch and she simply would not answer any question as to the bag of $50,000 Homan got from undercover FBI agents. And she would not answer a single question about why the investigation was dropped.

Pretty awful look for the administration and the DOJ overall, and especially because she would not answer any questions.

We lost the Democratic Party when we lost the blue dogs
Both parties have pushed away from the center. I believe centrists still exist in big numbers, but are left behind by both parties. Reasonable people know moderation is best, but the base of each party is tribalistic and absolutist. Successful governance requires compromise, though.
