I am not a fan of longevity comparisons, either. I do like comparisons of similar demographics, though.A lot of those scores and indexes are not true measures of healthcare quality either. For example life expectancy.
If you adjust for things like car crashes and drug overdoses, Americans lead the world in that category. We do not have car crashes due to a lack of quality care nor due to “access to care”.
Change the laws as to what requires a Dr visit. In MX, pharmacists can diagnose many things and prescribe without Dr visits or prescriptions. So, for many/most things, you can go to the pharmacy, discuss your issues, get a prescription, and go home for the cost of the scrip. You cannot nationalize America's version of health care. Our pharmaceutical usage, Dr visits, and surgical procedures are some of (if not the) highest usage in the world. And yet, we do not lead the world in health scores and quality of life indexes.
You will never get the AMA to relinquish the revenue and power to do that in America.Change the laws as to what requires a Dr visit. We have car crashes because the government hasn't confiscated all the cars.A lot of those scores and indexes are not true measures of healthcare quality either. For example life expectancy.

Yall really need to stop watering down Hitler. And Republicans seemingly don't understand why liberals compare him to Hitler.
I'm saying that if they do, the government doesn't "provide" it. The government takes wealth from those who worked for it and then uses it to pay for healthcare for everyone. So your saying no country has universal health care?
1. is this Obama level "hope and change" where nothing changes and you just have to hope it happens to work out for you this time? or is this change just for the sake of change, because the establishment is bad?I'm of the opinion that many would welcome a change in the healthcare system.
I'm of the opinion that those without health insurance would love to have health insurance.
I'm of the opinion that as a country we spend far more per capita on health care than is needed.
I'm of the opinion that there are hundreds of thousands of people getting rich in the health care industry who are adding nothing of value to the overall system.
I'm of the opinion that many things are best when not in the hands of strictly for profit open markets.
Both parties have pushed away from the center. I believe centrists still exist in big numbers, but are left behind by both parties. Reasonable people know moderation is best, but the base of each party is tribalistic and absolutist. Successful governance requires compromise, though. We lost the Democratic Party when we lost the blue dogs
