Bama will cover and then some. This is not a good setup for Vols. Simpson in a groove.
Yep i agree. The last four matchups since 2022 have all been close games unfortunately i think Bama whips us good in this game by 17 or 20 points. We don’t have the horses to keep up. Bama has found their mojo again and righted the ship after the FSU loss they will win the SEC imo.

Why would crowd noise propel us to points? Fans don't make noise when UT is on offense?

It held Florida to multiple key penalties as well as causing Lagway issues because he's not that good a QB to begin with, and was especially a factor at the end of the game.
Did you watch Lagway against Texas this past weekend? He’s pretty darn good he’s just been hurt and rusty from missing spring practice.

They’re not world beaters at all. If Pavia didn’t make poor decisions Vandy is in that game until the end. Good on Bama for creating turnovers, but Pavia was trying to do too much and they were bad red zone turnovers.

I was there. That deafening noise propelled us to zero points in the first half and a Florida TD with 29 seconds left to tie the game. Lagway didn’t see the field until midway through the 3rd quarter.

We were also 13.5 pt favorites. Same as this weekend.
If Graham Mertz doesn’t get injured we probably lose that game.

I’m not saying they are 2012 Bama but Simpson is a very hot QB right now. Can we slow him down and get pressure on him? And don’t forget the X factor playing down there too . The refs

This actually isn't true

Just since 2000 to now, Tennessee's home record is:

48-2 at Noon/1pm

37-47 at 3:30/4pm

38-9 at 7:30 or later

I'm talking about the very recent past and only big games not overall home record. Also you have to remember during most of that time period you cited the biggest SEC game was on 3:30 at CBS. So it's no surprise we lost more at home during that time period cause the opponents were tougher than say 12pm when it was almost always a cupcake opponent.

Our 3 biggest HOME wins in the last 3 years are Florida 2022, Alabama 2022, and Alabama 2024. All 3 of those games were at 3:30. The only major home game we had against a rival at 7pm was Florida 2024 and that didn't turn out that well despite us winning. Also we played Georgia this year at 3:30 at its the best we've looked against them in a long time.

For whatever reason, in the Huepel era we've played better in big home games at 3:30 than 7pm. In addition I personally prefer the 3:30 games because I think our stadium looks better in daytime than at night. Also Checker Neyland looks way better in daytime than at night. All in all the 3:30 home game is just better than the 7pm home game.

I don't have this as a Vol win in Ttown. AL D is better than ours and IMO they will be able to hold our O down just enough to allow their O to outscore us. But of course TO's could change it all from a Vol win to Tide blowout.

Bama isn’t that untouchable. Honestly they probably lose at Missouri this Saturday.

They can’t 🛑 the run. Honestly, it’s going to come down to who can win the turnover battle. It’s going to be a 4 quarter game and we can beat Bama.

Do they have more talent? Yes. Are they better coached? I don’t believe so. Gonna have to play our best game but I expect us to win.

I believe in this team. I’m riding with 6 until the 🛞 fall off. We’ve got the best offense in the country. Time to show em who the f*** we are. Go Vols!

Yep. The Mizzou RB may run for 250 on Bama

I think we can get to Simpson, we have a better pash rush than Vandy and he holds the ball too long. He’s been throwing it well, but there’s a part of him that wants to play hero ball and try to win the game with every throw. The first thing we have to do is set the edge and slow down the run game. That’ll take away some play action and turn our guys loose. Hopefully there won’t be a Remax Agent from Tuscaloosa calling the game.

From what I have seen so far ,is that Simpson doesn't handle pressure very well. If we can play man on the receivers and our defensive tackles are healthy, we will be bringing one or two on every snap.
