Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I am IN. It's unfair to compare Neal Peart with John Bonham. Do you know what drummer was on Bonham's level we can compare him to? I don't. I like Danny Carey of Tool. He's really good, but no one had Bonham's command of the sticks. Peart was even more valuable to Rush though because he was the only one in the band who could write lyrics. Some of his lyrics border on the absurd but read the lyrics to Limelight. They're insightful. Sort of reminds me of why Chris Cornell named his second band Audioslave.

This reminds me of how they found a tomb doing "archaeology" (grave-digging) and just decided that it was the famed Agamemnon's tomb from Homer's epics. A mythical figure that likely represented a star or another heavenly body. Achilles was Sirius. I'm serious!

Edit: I wanted to know so I looked it up. A lady named Edna wrote a book about the astrology in Homer's Iliad and she says Agamemnon is the Leo. I'm a Leo! That means you all have to do everything I say from now on I think.

It's just an odd scenario. There's been a lot of smoke about McCoy and his agents, etc. And coming from legitimate guys like AP.
I know not everyone can keep up every day with absolutely everything that goes on with the program, but it sounded like that was put to bed awhile ago and only recently more so. If he wasn't planning on playing the scenario would look entirely different.

McCoy will play if he is cleared medically. He is working his tail off to get back on the field. He is not sandbagging. He plays a position that requires constant planting, flipping hips, changing direction, acceleration. All things that are potential issues if the ACL is not fully healed. You do not come back and play CB unless you are healthy.

there it is. exactly what the article said.

his teammate even lauded him for working his tail off.

"I can't wait 'til he gets back. I don't know when he'll be back, but I'm excited for him. He's doing really good."

There was a day it dawned on me that most people refuse to read articles and only read headlines. That's wild to me, but I've found it to be true.

Probably needs to start at the top. And resign.
He gets 56 million if they axe him prior to the end of next season.

What sort of spell does Jimmy Sexton have these AD's under that he's able to coax them into these job-killing (well, if ADs still had accountability) contracts?

They hired OSU's DC Knowles who said when asked that he came purely for the money. It took 3 million/yr for 3 years to get him. That means if Ohio State fired him prior to the end of HIS contract, they will owe the full amount which is 9 million dollars currently. Woof. It's almost like these big contracts for coaches are killing those coaches' motivation. You don't see that in every case, but look around the country at the coaches who are on huge guaranteed contracts. There are a lot of unhappy fan bases at many of those schools. I read from a Bama booster that Kalen Deboer's staff checks out at 5 every day. I get it. Coaching is a tough job, but if you're only putting in 9-5 hours other staffs are going to outwork you.
