For sure. Some folks don't care for his attitude, but I always have taken it as super confident.
Hope and pray the best for him and his health - I dealt with blood clots in the my legs earlier this year that moved to my lungs.
Incredibly painful and incredibly scary too.

Y’all pray for Coach Sanders. I’ve always loved his attitude and being unashamed to publically thank God and represent Christ. Also the man got swag!!!!

He is certainly up against a wall with his health. had to be tough to be in that much pain but be on his feet.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if he retires soon. He’s gone through hell these past few years.

Say what you will about Deion as a person, but the guys been a warrior. As somebody who’s watched their mother decline further and further in health over the past year, I sympathize greatly with him and his family, even if they aren’t likable people. It’s a hard fight and coaching on top of it all makes it even harder, i’m sure.

I just hope he can make a full recovery from all of this.

He’s not my cup of tea but he’s a positive force in a lot of kids lives. I would be surprised if he’s coaching next year though honestly.

I have. I told my mom yesterday that I never thought I would do something like pray for that man, but I've learned to see the good in everyone. I just want all of us to win.

Deion needs to retire and enjoy life in peace & quiet. With his health issues, it’s just time to rest. What does he have left to prove? I hope he gets well soon.
Some guys just live to coach. They’re not built for retirement. Hell I think if Saban wasn’t still involved with football he would go mad. A break and rest do sound like the best idea but who knows might not be his idea of relaxing.

I think he needs to hang it up, maybe go back to being an in studio analyst. That's a very high stress job and with the serious health issues he's had sounds like he needs to focus on his health.

What a loser attitude. I’m just playing! Life is too short, be happy.

Like him or not its hard to see someone struggling with health issues and still trying to work. Obviously he doesn't need the job but just wants to be around the players. I doubt we see him after this season. Enjoy life Prime.

I think he was going to retire after 2024 but the optics of him bailing on Colorado after his son got drafted, even with his health issues, probably had a lot to do with it.

Totally agree. He knows health wise he should have retired last year but wouldn’t do it because it would have made him look bad and make several people who said he would retire right. That being said, I hope he has a full recovery from his health issues.

I think so too. I remember when his bladder cancer was diagnosed over the offseason, there were already people saying it was an “excuse” for him to retire and not get any flak for it, and some people were even accusing him of faking it. Absurd as those accusations would be, they’d have been everywhere had he retired then.

Regardless, it’s time for him to hang it up and focus on himself. Let Shurmur take over and finish out the year. Health should always come first.

I think Deion has a slanted view of optics compared to a lot of fans, but I am seeing he is pretty sick. I took it with a grain of salt at first.
