Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Are you dumb? Do you believe grandads 30-06 blew a hole in Kirks neck but didn't exit?
You would have to fully dumb to believe that. 😉
I've owned and fired a 30-06 on many occasions.
That is not possible
I'm not saying that video proves the guys point but things don't add up.
Yet you think his shirt is powerful enough to stop a bullet?

Are you aware the picture of the fun on circulation is not that actual weapon used??
Fun? I assume you meant gun.
I'm aware that there's a ton of false information posted daily. The picture you might be referencing could be factual, it could be false.
We the public don't know the truth at this time and may never know what the truth is.
I simply posted a video with a theory. I never said " these are the facts" Simply another person's theory, not my theory

Yes I meant gun.. Thanks...

Maybe don’t post idiotic videos that don’t add up and then asks posters if they’re dumb lol
First off, I was called fully retarded by vol boy as soon as I posted the video. I replied to him as being fully dumb.
Maybe you should follow along closer instead of making a false accusation. " Yet you believe his shirt stopped a bullet" Your words , not mine.
Lol

Yes the video was “fully retarded”. Getting defensive over the video is a bit odd if you don’t agree with it

Do you have a suspicion about what the truth is?

I do not. I just feel the 3006 shot from the top of the building 150-200 yards away with canopy would have been difficult shot for trans loving boy. He's either a gun range expert or he got real lucky.
No exit wound ?

Full disclosure, i am not aware of all of the specifics to the event. I refused to watch the murder. I haven't followed any of the developments. Also, I am not one to typically buy into conspiracy theories.

A 30.06 is a hunting rifle, correct? Would it be difficult for the murderer because the weapont is inaccurate?

ETa: I am also not a hunter.

Yes, a hunting rifle. Normally a 150 grain or higher round. That would kill about anything on the planet. It's possible the round could have been 125 grain for smaller animals. That will still kill just about anything dead.
We're told the 3006 went straight in the left side of Kirks throat. That's a very soft area, should be an exit wound IMO.
It's been reported the shooter took grandads rifle without dads knowledge. This would lead most to believe Robinson was probably not that familiar with the rifle.
One shot.
A non professional would probably squeeze off 2-3 shots to may sure the target was dead. He may have just panicked after firing the one round.

I went back to see where the current convo started.

I take it from this post, the issue is not with the accuracy of the rifle, correct? The issue is the nature of the wound it caused?

Thanks. Not being a hunter, I looked at the rifle. It appears to be very popular for accuracy and the different ammo types it can handle. Looks like hunters like it for the humane way it takes down game.

The throat is a soft area. But there is a spinal column with bony vertebra behind the throat. Does the ammo typically penetrate and blow through bony tissue?

The carotids are on the side of the neck. It didn't have to go anywhere near the bones to do what it did.

AI is incredibly liberally biased, because most if the people who programmed a lot of it are liberals… what is a hilarious is when you google something and it scolds or shames you for a question 😂 older folks like most if us on here and not persuaded or fooled, but it makes me very concerned for the future

What about Grok, lol? They're trying to make it right wing but then its real world training overrides every time and it becomes "too liberal."

The reality is that the world (that these AI bots train on) is more liberal than you.

Here's more ridiculousness, apparently his death was a miracle.
" Mr Kolvet " producer for the Kirk program" included what he said were quotes from a surgeon who operated on Mr Kirk.

"It was an absolute miracle that someone else didn't get killed," Mr Kolvet quoted the surgeon as saying.

"His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he's like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too." The bullet was just under the skin.

Mr Kolvet said what happened was "remarkable" and "miraculous".

I don't know if Mr Kolvet is trustworthy or accurate. I also don't know if the surgeon is a ballistics expert.

You're a hunter. I looked online and found there are different types of ammo. Some designed to go through and some designed to expand inside the animal. There is debate if that is more humane but many think it is better for the animal.

Do you have any experience with the different ammo options?

The 30-06 is a high caliber weapon.
The bullet " the part that kills you " is around 3/4 of an inch in length.
Now take your thumb and forefinger, place your thumb just to the left of your Adams apple. Your forefinger on the back of your neck. Now look at your measurement. About three or four inches of mostly soft flesh getting hit with a high caliber round.
I still think we should have an exit wound.
Hopefully at some point in the next three years we'll see an autopsy report to clarify all this.
Thank you for the civil discussion. I'm stepping away from the forum for a while to take care of normal daily activities.👍

My pleasure. Good discussion.

Without any experience using the weapon or the ammo available, I could absolutely understand why there should be an exit wound if the bullet did not hit anything bony. But if it did and it is the right ammo, I can see how there would not be an exit wound.

I assumed there was already an autopsy done.
