Watching MSU fall off of a cliff against aTm in the second half and it’s starting to look like OSU, Miami, aTm/OU (maybe) are the strongest teams this season.

The rest of us, to date, all seem pretty even which suggests it’s going to be a tight fit into CFP slots 4-12.

Parity has arrived. Good news is we can play our way in with OU and Bama to go. Going to be interesting.

From what I

From what I understand, Gibson isn’t coming back this year and McCoy is a mystery. Look at how many 3rd and longs that secondary has given up.
8-20 on 3rd
180 passing
5 sacks
14 points scored on defense
That was our defense against Mississippi State last week.

Some key losses in our favor but a few teams performances (good and bad) gives me more concerns than when the day started at the same time.
Every week and game is different, it’s hard to compare games or scores. Different matchups and the ebb and flow is constantly changing with teams. We need to stay consistent and keep improving and working hard. GBO

Saw a rumor that McCoy was going to be back soon.
Possibly. Some on here posted said he was at practice, which is true.

I’m not gonna argue w anyone but he had NOT gone thru a “contact practice” as of Tuesday or Wednesday.

I haven’t spoken to my Spyre buddy since kid week but hope to early next week.

Now, Hubbs and Price confirmed my comment above. Some on here ridicule these guys but they know more than anyone on this board, esp Hubbs, since he is part of Vol network.

Our defense is one of the worst in the league so far. And injuries are no excuse for it being that bad, we should be middle of the pack at worst.

I see 2-3 more losses unless they improve dramatically.
We will lose to Bama, Florida and possibly Oklahoma and don’t disregard Vandy they are plenty good enough to beat us. I had us going 9-3 in the off season and i think that’s where we will land when it’s all said and done, just outside the playoffs looking in.

Yeah. Our defense is the worst but is one of the leaders in defensive touchdowns. It's bend but don't break. We've only lost to Georgia and our defense played good enough for us to win in regulation if our kicker had made that field goal. Sure, our defense isn't as good last year but it's far from bad.

Different officials calling the games too. You never know what those guys are going to focus on or what they’ll let go.

Every win is a chance to keep improving without having to make up for the past. Let’s keep it going.

Man GTFOH. This team is better overall than last year. Finally had a chance to beat Georgia in the final seconds of regulation and couldn't make a field goal. Sure, our defense isn't as good as last year but it's far from bad and makes up for getting gashed some by making huge plays. Our offense is light years ahead of where we were last year too and Aguilar is a baller. You're either a real downer at parties or just a troll if you think we're losing all those games. Especially Oklahoma at home. We ain't losing that game. If you know anything about Heupel you know he gets extra motivated and has his best games against certain teams and coaches. He has an axe to grind against Oklahoma and has a deadly offense this year with a capable QB. Don't be surprised if we don't run Oklahoma out of Knoxville with a lopsided azz kicking
