Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Watching ole Gaston Moore get some playing time at USF on ESPN2. His USF team is up 47-26 on Charlotte U (formerly UNCC) I didnt know that ole Gaspipe was out of football and working a full time job when Golesh called him and asked him to come be the backup QB this year. 😆 Seems like he should be 30 years old by now like Pavia. Didnt Gaston come to UT with CJH for the 2021 season?

Winless UCLA is blowing PSU out.
Penn st still has a 3rd loss coming at OSU
No way they make the playoffs with a loss to a winless UCLA team halfway thru the season.

So which garbage Big10 team will now take a METEORIC rise up thru the polls to make sure that they get at least 3 teams in the playoffs? Indiana probably? Indiana will be a top6 team ASAP and they will be trying to get illinois or somebody else in there. I know the Iowa st team that is inexplicably ranked higher than us was getting beat by 17points by unranked Cincinnati...yep. ISU lost. We should move up.

The home cooking for Bama in this game is criminal IMO. Bama got a free timeout in the 1st half when they had none...because?? They just had the most blatant 2 handed pushed the guy down on his face block in the back ive seen in years...on a 3rd and long play right behind Simpson. No flag...simpson runs for the 1st down. Bama could shoot Pavia in the face with a 9mm at the 50yd line and not see any laundry on the field at this point.

I dont really mind because Vandy needs to take this loss and be knocked down a peg or 2 after all the trash Pavia talked before the game on national TV saying the game wouldnt be close if they executed. They better tighten up before we get there in 3 weeks though with these garbage refs man. Good grief.

Looks like PSU is battling back. Looks like they’ve let Nico run all over them.

Nah man we got this. Right now I think we really could win out. Still gotta play the games and be ready tho.

I think we have the potential, probably the potential to line up and play and beat anybody out there on our best day, but the Hype has shat the bed on his last 2 trips there and let’s face it and be honest, he’s routinely shat the bed on the road at the near end of every season. Here’s to hoping that doesn’t happen this time around.

The toughest game we have left is the Gumps in tuskaloser and Candy took them to the wire today there. The trap game I see is Candy but I’m hoping we boat race both Florida and Bama in their back yards.

Oklahoma’s D line might give us some trouble, they’re pretty stout in their front 7. Their offense doesn’t scare me though even with Mateer.

They had 10 sacks vs Auburn but somehow we still lead the SEC in sacks before this week IIRC. They had a big day today vs Kent st and got more sacks. Without Mateer we would clobber OK, with him likely playing though we are gonna have to score a lot to beat them in Neyland IMO. 2 scariest games to me are still at bama and at flarda. Flardas defense is legit. That WR Dallas? that they just got back today killed Texas. Hopefully that brutal schedule softens their defense up a bit.

Wonder if texas fans have figured out yet that their QB isn't Peyton nor Eli's son?? His dad was an Ole Miss WR until his neck injury. He hasn't had Peyton nor Eli coaching him up in the backyard his whole life. Hasnt lived the life of an NFL players son either, being surrounded by great athletes and coaches with his dad. Arch is a good athlete...and probably could have been a D1 possession WR at an SEC school if he chose his own dads position. He damn sure isnt a good QB though...after more than 2 years of college coaching with Sarkisian who is supposed to be an "offensive guru". Its too soon to label him a bust, but Arch has had 2 games vs good defenses this season where he threw 2 picks and looked bad at Flarda and OSU. Texas has too much money invested in him now to bench him...but if his play doesnt improve they won't have a choice IMO.

Texas’s biggest weakness right now is their O line which is perplexing since they have recruited so well there. They are supposed to be studs, but aren’t moving the line of scrimmage or protecting their QB very well.

They have 5* linemen and WRs. They beat us out for a couple of those guys. Wingo caught a beautiful ball from Arch today. Texas under Sark and LSU under Kelly have consistently underperformed. They have higher ranked classes than we do...especially LSU...AND spend more in the portal than we do. LSU spent a fortune in the portal to buy a defense for this year being Nussmeiers senior year. Then lost to Ole Miss again 😒 this conference is so brutal. I love it.
