Yankees starter Cam Schlittler on Friday said Red Sox fans "crossed the line" by harassing family members, including his mother, on social media ahead of his Game 3 start in the AL Wild Card Series.

I'm not saying never but CTV is right where he should be, coaching college kids. To be honest the MLB players would chew him up and spit him out... especially the high priced players. Rafael Devers would just smirk if CTV jumped his ass over not hustling and in the end in most cases the players will be there and the coaches are expendable...


If CTV ever leaves it will be to try to turn around another struggling program, such as his home state Missouri Tigers. Don't care if it's in the middle of no where the guy can recruit...

He’s proven he can recruit but he also has proven he is usually going to develop a great offense. He surrounded himself with Frank for the pitching. Tony is a true CEO and that’s what you need out of your head coach. Put your assistants in positions to succeed and you just oversee the machine running smoothly with occasional maintenance.

I’m with you. I think he loves MLB because that’s what he grew up watching with the Cardinals and the dream was always to play in the show. But his personality is perfect for college. There are fiery managers in the majors but not typically towards their players because the players are getting paid more than anyone in the organization except the owner groups. It is extremely difficult to tell someone what to do whenever they make more money than you, especially whenever said person has a piss poor attitude like a Machado, Soto, or Devers like you mentioned.
