Have any current Blue 'naders been offered by Tennessee?

Looks like they're off to another good start, opening with a 56-20 win at Lipscomb Academy, followed by a 24-8 win last night over defending AA Georgia State Champions and #1 ranked Hebron Christian Academy at home.

Father Ryan travels to Chattanooga next week.

Drapeau turned in to a running back for a part of the Misson D game last night. Also the second string qb ran a lot too. The QB run game was the difference in the offense and responsible for the win IMO. I posted some other thoughts I had on that game over in the “TN High school scores “ sub forum. FWIW

IMG_7938.pngPerhaps a jinx or kiss of death but here is week six MaxPreps ranking for Tn Preps
Some folks put value in beating a top ten nationally ranked top Ten team. First M got to beat the Mississippi state champions tomorrow night.
FWIW

The Mississippi state champions playing M tonight are formidable. May win it from what I have seen in first half. Some very talented skill players on the Heidelberg team. M leads 21 -12 first half. I have no idea why this is in bold type. So if sorry if anyone is offended

Thank you for noting bold text issue. Doesnt offend me but when intentional, it irritates the heII out of me.

McCallie came back to win it 21 to 18 ...according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer--the only place I found reporting the score.

It was quite a thriller. The Heidelberg Ms team is loaded with talent. Their QB was nothing less than sensational as a runner and passer. He is a junior and will be on some good division one team later IMO. Huge linemen and speed at all positions.

Heidelberg brought a large band to the game, and a lot of fans. I’m guessing the band was close to 100 in instruments. And they put on a halftime show that was really fun to watch and I’m not usually watching such. It was akin to the shows the Fla A&M produces.

I can find game reports next day on the Chattanoogan.com site. You can watch the games live on the Mc network btw. McCallie.org/
Comes on about ten minutes before kick off. Here is link for last nights game :

McCallie was until 1970. Not sure about Baylor
By the early 60’s neither school was wha t you might think of a military schoool in the sense of ugly strict discipline. Still wore basic uniforms of shirt and tie at M except for some drill marches once a week. But as far as hazing and such they were gone. Great school for a great preparatory education at M

Baylor prevailed in the last minute by three points on a touchdown run by their great running back Georges.

While about every game these teams play in the series is epic , this one was really over the top in intensity and great performances on each side . Somebody had to lose and it basically came down to had the ball at the critical time with enough clock to score.

Baylor back George ends with maybe 280
yards rushing. And had a 60 yard TD called back for holding. Folks I was texting with who had not seen him were in awe of this RB. I’d seen him before. Honestly he looks like Jamal Lewis reborn in terms of running style. UT should open the bank for him. IMO. He is from Africa and now family lives in Saskatchewan and he doesn’t speak fluid English. Interesting

The MC Qb played an incredibly good game in the air and on the ground. He rushed for two TDs I think and on a naked bootleg for one TD that looked like Peyton at Alabama. Also the Vandy commit Tabatoo for M was incredible receiver as usual and had maybe 200 yards plus in receiving. M offensive line averaged over 300 pounds. And are really good. UT commit tackle for Baylor and that M line battled all night to a draw I’d say. Both were great at times.

21 players on the field had D 1 offers per the TV commentators. The CW TV feed from Chattanooga was excellent l thought and fair. One would be hard pressed to see a better high school game anywhere in the country IMO.

These team likely meet again in state playoffs somewhere down the line IMO.
