Soybean farmers cannot absorb multiple years of being shut out of the Chinese market. Do you support the feds popping them up until China starts purchasing again?

China is also investing hundreds of millions in Africa, to further diversify their soybean imports.

After Trump's 2018 trade war, the US to China soybean trade never recovered to pre-2018 levels, and even if they start purchasing again from the US in the future, it's not going to be at pre-2025 levels.

No big surprise there. I said exactly this when Trump started deportations without some understanding of the ramifications. No argument with deporting criminals and illegals who aren’t willing to work. But does anybody really think the average American could stomach a chicken plant for more than 5 minutes or put in 12 hours in a hot field picking vegetables? I’ve been in both and it ain’t happening. You simply aren’t going to fill these jobs with “citizens”.

Won’t make a dent. There won’t be enough of them. And Trump wouldn’t be happy with that option. He thinks Americans are going to go out there and pick vegetables 10 hours a day. Add in bricklayers, concrete workers, roofers and landscape workers as there aren’t enough Americans that want to do those jobs either.

I think if people wanna to eat and own things they are gonna have to make a choice. Either work what's needed or starve or move to another country.

Maybe we could just have the government start assigning jobs paths to people around the age of 12 or so, and putting them on a mandatory career path to make sure the undesirable jobs are filled?

A better option then subsidizing the current legacy laziness that is running havoc now...explain why hard working people should be forced to support lazy MFers who refuse to work because the job is to hard??
