As a Reds fan, I'm disappointed but not surprised. Last night the Reds faced a pitcher who the Dodgers signed for over $300mill in addition to sending $50mill to his former team in Japan. Blake Snell got $185mill from the Dodgers and then there's that leadoff hitter, just to mention a few. Meanwhile teams like the Reds have to draft a guy like Hunter Greene and hope in ten yrs he can be like those guys. If he is, he'll soon leave for pastures in markets like LANot so fast my friend... Dodgers in two...
MLB is an f'd up system. I hope they lock out for the entire 2027 season if they have to to address this. This sort of inequity isn't tolerated in any other professional sport
