Honestly, his career is off to a heck of a start!
If he can continue to get that average up, he’ll be right there with the Judges and Ohtanis, imo.

I think Judge is just going to start breaking down and being injured every year. Big bodies tend to do that as they get older. He will still put up great offensive stats but will need to transition to DH at some point. They were extremely lucky that elbow injury wasn’t worse.

I agree that is a concern with Judge.

I was just thinking the same about Cal. If his bat continues to be good, do you move him to first in a few years. But his defense is too valuable.

Cal Raleigh also plays gold glove defense behind the plate. Do you know how incredibly insane that is for someone to play over 1000 innings at catcher and not allow a single passed ball? Only 4 guys have ever accomplished that. And then this dude doesn’t only smash 60 bombs and lead the AL in RBI, but he’s a fawking switch hitter on top of that. Aaron Judge is not a great fielder. Cal Raleigh was unanimously the best player in baseball for this season. Idk what he will do next year but for this season alone, I’m taking Cal Raleigh. So regular season Aaron Judge can go eat with the rest of his team.

Judge is a good, but not great outfielder. His offensive stats are nuts this season.

Not taking away anything from Cal, he had an amazing season. The best overall season by a catcher ever I would think?

Best season by a catcher? That is a resounding YES (a nod to the network for that team wearing pinstripes currently eating )
