It all comes down to trust. Huep doesn’t fully trust Joey to not throw a pick in that situation.

The rule is, you end the game with the ball in your hand. We did that. If we had pressed and turned the ball over, or hurried and had to punt that would have been tragic.
well, I don't know man...you don't throw deep over the middle if you're not confident in your QB. But I will argue til the cows come home that taking 20-25' off the clock did exactly what you're saying. It eliminated State getting the ball back with a chance to win. Or at least greatly minimized it.

If I remember correctly, that that long pass was after the first down, and there was only 18 seconds on the clock at that point. That is a very low risk throw at that point. If we catch it, we win, if there is a pass interference, we win. If the db picks it off, he is on the 10 yrd line, similar to a a punt with very little time left.

Don't disagree...some definite head-scratcher decisions...

And...this one I'll admit is really petty...but geez, I kinda wish he cared more about his appearance on the sideline. The slobb-ish look seems to be getting worse the longer he's here. He looks like a Dad on vacation at the beach who decided not to shave for a week.
(Admittedly not the most important thing, but that job deserves a little more image effort, IMO)
Belacheck looked homeless w/ the Patriots….

Sometimes going for the score isn't the right call. Ask Kirby.
Kirby didn't go for the score to tie, and Kirby also did not have his best players in. I was mentioning us in regards to time management and trying to at least get in field goal range, but we didn't have the chance because of poor clock mangement.

If he throws INT there State’s in fg range

As far as LB and various views on who should be out there , I will just say let William Inge continue to make those decisions. In my opinion he is the epitome of a great coach and leader of young men that we are darned privileged/ lucky to have on the staff. Very impressive man.

What if he was dead set on them not got getting the ball
Back? He's not going to publicly say "don't trust the D"
I mean they were going to get the ball back though if it went to OT. The Hail Mary I thought was more dangerous than trying to get better position and kick a FG or score.

I think the moment may have gotten away from him. Guy is great at almost everything but late game time management isn’t it.

Personally I think it makes him look distinguished.
