That would have made much mire sense than a lot of what happened today. Just stream of consciousness. Bounced around all over the place. A ton had absolutely nothing to do with the military or the event.

Whenever he is giving a speech, topics which are appropriate to the venue and meaningful to the audience are trivial to Donald Trump. At a Boy Scout Jubilee in the summer of 2017, Trump just rambled on-and-on for 30 minutes about his historic 2016 election night victory over Hillary Clinton from 8 months earlier. You might think that Trump would have had something inspirational prepared to say to those youngsters, but no, he treated the event just like it was another election campaign rally, with an audience of nothing but adult, die-hard, MAGA loyalists. The real audience, occasion and the purpose of the event itself, were irrelevant to Trump. He just wanted to talk about himself, and boast some more.

Not a Trump supporter. But confused as to why a country that's $38 trillion in debt has a party that thinks we should even entertain the idea of providing healthcare for non citizens. That's not a serious group of people . And no the GOP isn't serious either.

Sure. That's not an issue anyone should compromise on. Extreme sacrificing on entitlements are coming. Either for our generation or our children's. We are horrible stewards for doing such a thing. Wronging our own. We owe a ton more to our own citizens then we do immigrants who are here for a better life with our permission.

We're not going to be a country that denies healthcare to a child.......at least I hope not. I think there is room for some reasonable compromise.

I don't think the current issue has anything to do with children. It's non citizens who have legal permission to work here. We should not be approving them to have children here too that they can't support. Those kids should stay home

I'm sure we agree on most every point.

And I'm all for multiple forms of birth control to reduce the number of children being born into environments in which they cannot be supported.
