A federal judge agreed Monday to temporarily suspend the Trump administration’s plan to eliminate hundreds of jobs at the agency that oversees Voice of America, the government-funded broadcaster founded to counter Nazi propaganda during World War II.

US District Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington, D.C., ruled that the US Agency for Global Media cannot implement a reduction in force eliminating 532 jobs for full-time government employees on Tuesday. Those employees represent the vast majority of its remaining staff.

If Schumer this if Schumer that. Newsflash, repugs control the house,senate,oval office and the t rump Supreme court. If there is a govt shutdown it's squarely on the shoulders of repugs.

your argument would make sense if they had the actual votes needed.

its squarely shared, just like all of them have been. both sides set requirements they know the other side won't give in on and then refuse to come off their points at all.

Not when every Republican voted for the spending bill. It is the ability of Democrats in the Senate even when in the minority to halt votes on a bill that is the impasse.

Aluminum was used for its anti corrosion properties.

When the British lost all those ships in Falklands, the USN decided to build with steel as the British ships superstructures melted, and prior to that, the USS Belknap suffered a catostrophic fire.

Athough it is crazy, modern ships, even steel, are tin can, with a Little Kevlar armor around vital spaces.

News flash Libs are on record talking about how bad shutdowns are in past during Biden. Republicans didn’t shut down the government then. They are happy doing what they are doing because it’s Trump.

So your argument is that democrats should rally behind the proposals of Republicans,?? I would hope they would not. So it's the fault of Republicans for not aligning with the good guys.
