Maybe not but we want Oklahoma and Vandy to keep winning since we most likely will trip against Bama

Wins vs a top 10 Oklahoma team and top 15-18 Candy team should help TN in final rankings.

It usually works itself out one way or another but it’s still fun to discuss. Lot of 🏈 left.

We ain’t tripping against bama. The only action involving a lower extremity come the Third Saturday in October this year is going to be a big orange boot in bama’s ass.

Indiana is about to come crashing down in two weeks.
Iowa State, I am letting it slide as they are the best coached team in America every year, not tongue in check, they have a legit coach. Substained success there is wild.
Penn State, yeah they are wasted space. Franklin is what he has always been, on the cusp of success yet failure.

I don't share your confidence (I'd call that game a coin flip depending on our injury situation), but I like this energy.

One thing to remember, POLLS ARE POLITICAL. If the voters don't like us, they will keep us down. All we need to do is WIN and hope others above us lose.

I don’t necessarily hate still being ranked 15, but let’s be real here. If a trendy school like Indiana or a media darling like LSU or Michigan went on the road and things didn’t quite go as planned, they’d have it penned as “gritty” and “learned how to respond to adversity” and rise up the rankings anyway.

I’m on record as saying I don’t care about rankings. Keep winning and it takes care of itself. However, the fact we went into a hostile environment against a much better, and 4-0, Miss State team than in the past and we didn’t move up a single number while getting jumped by other teams is BS. However, smoke Arky and maybe we get healthy and catch some breaks in Tuscaloosa and pull out a win, we “might” be in the Top 10…maybe. The problem with these dip wad pollsters is that if we get a big win, we only move up a couple of spots or so. If we barely lose to a good team, we drop precipitously from here. We’re not going to get much love from these guys. We could be 9-3 at the end of the year and I’ll bet we will be sitting around #21 or #22… or worse. This is a popularity contest only until you win to where you can’t be ignored.
