Joey Football > Hooker

Literally “Peyton’s records” were mentioned. Keep up, Francis. They make this button where you go to the original post in the thread. Read before posting. Will do you wonders.

The topic is an (erroneous) assertion that Aguilar is better than Hooker. Records tell us quite a lot about that argument and have nothing to do with titles, especially since neither Hooker or Manning won an NC. (I can only assume you're excluding conference titles as "titles")
Until you, no one was making a dopey point about titles. By your logic, QBs who didn't win titles are equally good, or not.
And there really is no point to playing or watching the game unless "titles".

Am I up to speed?

I guess 55 of the 56 years I have followed Tennessee “mean nothing” now…….

i guess we are all wasting our time this year following this team. Why are we even wasting our time on this board?

No he’s played great and most of the guys expected to go high have played horrible
I agree that he is probably more suited for the NFL than Hooker. When I think about it, there aren't a ton of great prospects this year which bodes well for him. Him being a "gamer" helps matters

Hooker was intelligent enough to manage the Game Clock.- See Alabama win...
Joey has been great for the Vols, but remember the guy is like 32 years old in College football years. This man should've controlled the game better than he did. He has to improve and so does everyone other player, coach, and dadgum ref on that field.

They are very similar QBs. Mobile, accurate, decisive, great leaders, great locker room guys, blue collar, hard working.

Hooker was a better running threat.

Joey has better anticipation.

Where is your blue font?
The UGA teams that HH played were far Superior to the UGA JA played. I really enjoy having JA as our QB. I think he's been an absolute blessing for us; but I don't think this is the SEC of 1/2 a decade ago. Our talent is young and we are benefiting from playing some really big names that aren't the same teams they were 2-5 years ago. I think we are building for a NC in 2027. I'll take 9-3 and be happy. 2027 is the year CJH will either shine or fall off for me. NIL has changed the game and things are evening out across the board.

To this point I’m still taking Hooker, but we are so fortunate that Nico pulled that shít in the spring. I’m happy to have a good QB now and not have to deal with a bad QB that Vol Nation gets outraged at whenever anyone spoke the truth about him.
