LB has been a head scratcher for me for a while but I think I realized something.

Modern offenses are a nightmare for the linebacker position these days. Every RB, WR, and TE is a mismatch for 90% of linebackers in coverage. Especially when the pffense is spread out. That's why you have guys like Carter and Telander getting burned or a step late yet they still say we have one of the best LB tandems in the league and Carter is a high draft pick.

I mean even on a run play in a spread system if the HB or a pulling OL gets the Mike the Will has no chance if the RB gets to the second level. Too much ground to cover because the field is stretched. Then its RB vs S, and we see that outcome ALL the time in our offense.

Far less spread in the NFL so I think scouts overlook some of those bad plays and focus on seeing the guy making the right reads and having the intangibles.
That’s why Ed Spillman is built for it now. He should be playing a lot more. Along with the freshmen linebackers who are faster.

But no bad vibes. We won on the road and got our annual WTH game out of the way.

Some really radical ideas here.

Let's just generally say as a society - "hey, you, please don't send death threats to any of the rest of us. No disclaimers. No groups included. Just all of us. We don't want them. And we won't send them to you.

Ok...thanks for acting like an adult in society"
But Devo, if you can't handle that then maybe you shouldn't exist in society ~blue font~

That's why I dont get not getting him into position to ein it on the road. Get him over the hump so he can develop his nerves into steel
They were trying to. Heupel was 100% playing for the FG on the final drive but the O didn't execute and they had to throw the Hail Mary at the end.
