I get that Banks isn't great, but this is a weird game to say "THIS IS THE GAME THAT MAKES ME GIVE UP ON BANKS!"

The defense scored 14 points, and MSU got to start 3 drives basically already in the red zone.

I'm not a huge Banks fan, but this isn't a game that's a good example of his shortcomings. The offense and special teams were the primary problems today.

And we still scored 41, . We can dump 50 on just about anyone if we stop doing stupid stuff.

Chris Brazzell continues to be clutch. Dude was robbed of 50+ more yards and a TD but still continues to make big plays at big moments. Best WR in the league.

Tyree West 2 sacks. Developing into a strong player for us.

Ricky Gibson is great but I truly believe we upgraded with Hood. Dude is lock down and a baller. Him and McCoy are gonna be the best CB duo in the country by a mile. Unfortunately we don’t have the safety play to compliment them at all atm.

Star took a step back and bishop was the clear best back today. Still think Star is good but he was defiantly trying to dance around a bit too much instead of hitting the holes right away.

Catching. Besides Brazzell everybody on the team is struggling with drops. I understand that some of these aren’t the best passes by Joey but if it hits you in the hands, catch the ball. Especially disappointing to see Kitsleman fail to catch two balls that lead to INTs. The second one was tough, I may cut some slack on that one.

Staely. My goodness kid. I spilled a lot of hate towards you today. Gotta mentally reset. Horrible game, but it was nice to see you make a high effort play that lead to us evening the score late.

Our linebackers suck in coverage. Arion Carter is a tacking machine but he’s got to play pass way better. Tealander played timid as hell. Go and get that slow RB instead of waiting for him to come to you. A horrendous game by Tealnader.

Playcalling. Abandoned the run way too early. Got back to it some and it lead us to victory. Stay balanced.

You make a great point about us waiting for the ball carrier to get to us. That is a coaching problem. Why do we not attack running backs when they get the ball? It is infuriating.

I agree with everything except blaming the snaps and holds. Those were on him, the pressure was too much. The ball was where it needed to be before he even planted, he just whiffed.

Maybe that moment was, but hopefully he put it behind him and will be ready in the next moment.

Yeah I think getting inundated with death threats and prank calls calling you a bum will ruin any 20 yr old's head. I watched it happen to a UT player when I was in undergrad. No reality where fans should do that crap to their own player.

We have one of the best kickers, statistically, we've ever had. With a ton of potential. He's missed 2 kicks this year that were likely caused by bad snaps and bad holds rather than him shanking it.

Call me crazy for not wanting people to harass a kid because 1. it's an abhorrent thing to do and 2. Because he can win us some big games in his career.

Any fan that texts a player (unless you actually know the player) is a halfwit. Deserve to have the same thing happen to them the next time they screw up at work.

Before today, Max Gilbert was the second-most accurate Tennessee kicker in school history for anyone with more than 8 attempts.

After tonight he dropped to T-3rd with Chase McGrath (2021-2022).

The only 2 kickers more accurate? Charles Campbell (2023) and Alex Walls (2000-2002)

So y'all get that Max Gilbert criticism out of here. Kids a sophomore and has the potential to play in the league if we as fans don't ruin his head.

That's why I dont get not getting him into position to ein it on the road. Get him over the hump so he can develop his nerves into steel
