I tried pointing it out in the game thread a few times, but what I admire the most about Aguilar is his ability to stay calm under pressure and avoid sacks most other QBs would take. He will get an incompletion, but it was a great play becuase he had an unevaded pass rusher come from his blind side and yet he was able to find somewhere to go with the ball. People criticize his interceptions, but many are him attempting to make a much needed play and attempting to win instead of protecting the stat column..

Heupel failed him. Every pass catcher he has failed him, aside from Brazzell who has been phenomenal this year. But the guy doesn’t get rattled. He doesn’t blink. He just keeps putting on more steam. Joe Milton and Nico Iamaleava lose that game. Joey Aguilar is a winner. He will drag us as far as he possibly can, because he has real grit in his shít.
This is a game. Sometimes the ball rolls, sometimes it doesn’t. We won this game. Those passes were off script and hard to catch.

Should they have been caught? Yes. But this is a tough team. They were hard hitting and playing like.. well dogs.

Clock management is the only real issue that should be discussed.

Lol... when I was 12, Casey and his two friends threw ice at me and my friends in west town movie theater. He truly lived up to his nickname
Ran into Casey one night back in the day wearing his pink on pink addidas jump suit at a bar, telling everyone he had the Heisman running through his veins. Dude was a massive tool.

How did Heupel fail Joey?

He’s a gamer. One of the guys you want to have the ball when the game is on the line.

Staley showed guts driving for the first down when it was absolutely needed. Still needs to bring in throws he gets two hands on.

Matthews is gaining confidence and is growing quickly. Still needs hands improvement.

Brazzell is just money.

We need to hit Kitselman in stride so he can rumble. Needs to bring in tough passes.

He has 5 Ints and 4 arent his fault. 2 were catchable
1 was Pass Interference not called and 1 was when WR slapped and fell on a timing pattern(slant).

The other was laughable bc it looked like a damn punt it went so high in the air off the ricochet.
Huge fan of Aguilar, but I feel like one of the INTs tonight was on him. He forced the pass to Kits, and that is why it was picked (2nd one tonight). Either way, he keeps fighting and making things happen. True team player.

Drops need to be discussed because they have been a problem in every game with every pass catcher aside from Brazzell.

Agree idk if there has been another Qb with a higher amount of int percentage that shouldn’t be credited to them… 4 of his 5 are not his fault… how unlucky to have his balls pop up or get dropped like that but his will to win is amazing and I need that 2022 huep back he is calling games scared at the end and I don’t like it that one shouldn’t have went to OT..
It’s very similar to Peyton Manning’s senior year. Manning’s completion percentage was pretty low his senior year, but there were sooooo many dropped passes that year. He had 10 interceptions that as well, but several were tipped balls.

I don’t want to dismiss what Staley did on 4th down. He made a huge play there. But he had 3 horrible plays before that that definitely set us back.

Peyton’s completion percentage in 97 was pretty good for that era. Back then if you hit 60%, that was pretty good
