The Official #15 Tennessee vs. Miss St Game Thread, 4:15 ET, SECN

They finally realized the QB wasn’t going to beat them and walked the linebackers up into the gaps..Banks is stubborn to a fault. Doesn't have the Dline this year to lean on them like that..

Maybe Heup was playing not to lose in regulation because he was confident he had the plan to win if it went to overtime. That s just as likely as he was an idiot in clock management.
We have to agree to disagree on this one. Heupel's clock management in the Georgia game caused folks question his judgement, this game proved he has no clue on how to manage the clock at the end of halves.

That’s a fair assessment. We don’t win that game with Nico at the helm. I feel like Joey gives us a chance every week which is a nice luxury to have
We are probably 2-3 with Nico. I think JA is a really good QB with flaws but his flaws can be fixed, I hope. But Nico cant be fixed

Banks scored 14 points. Only gave up 3.6 yards per carry. Solid pressure from the dline. We should all be glad we have him.
I'll agree that he's a good P4 DC. But if you look at his performance against Top 20 teams, he fails to meet the standard of an SEC DC. Go back and find my post where I listed his numbers against Top 20 and Top 10 teams.

Good? Yes, if he has the advantage. But solid offenses and solid QB's expose him. It is what it is. Tonight was the latest example.

Heupel has to outscore what Banks cannot cover. That won't win crap beyond a bowl game or Boise State.

Again, it is what it is. Bring me my crowburger when UT wins a game against a Top 10 team with their defense.

I'll gladly eat it.
