It's a starting point. I know in the Philippines, one of Donnies **** hole countries, gun ownership is allowed. Gun ownership requires education and thorough background checks. Owners must pay a hefty fee annually to own a gun. Not sure how often the background checks last but it's not one and done. In the US little more than a state ID iz required.

I'm no all knowing blessed with the correct answers to every problem. But I think we, as on all of us, need to start the discussion.
