I love how Syracuse only got fined for faking injuries. Literally any team would pay whatever the fine was to help win a tough game. Suspend people or don't do anything at all, levying a small fine basically gives them permission to cheat with a set fee.

I do think it's been planned though...Auburn probably shifting focus more to football with the NIL budget and didn't want to deal with trying to navigate that with a big name basketball name. As evident by the Pearl tenure they're just not capable of having success in both sports apparently.

Pearl arrive in 2014-15 and took 3 years before he won really...
Gus bus was doing enough to keep football from being a bottom feeder but since Pearl came to town the football program has only had 1 10 win season, so seems like to me someone higher up the booster chain probably pushing for more to be put towards Freeze and football to help them compete.
