He prob lost little if any choosing Rice.IDK about that. My son who is mid-20s, once told me the reason he did not apply to MIT was because he was white. He went to Rice instead (we live in the Houston area) and has worked in my company since graduation. Yet he has a bad case of TDS which my wife believes he caught from his sister (she’s 2 years older, went to Georgetown, and works for an NGO in DC).

The Republicans will **** it up. Wait and see. They would lose if they were up 3 in the bottom of the 9th and had Randy Johnson pitching to Bob Uecker.I think the dems will be lucky not to lose half hte seats they got coming up in this mid-term. We shall see. They are in real trouble. No one buys that preKirk memorial rhetoric they were spewing. That kind of indignation & disrespect will be noticed.
The quiet Dems are the 95 that voted yes on the Kirk honoring thingy. The 48 that didn't vote one way or the other will not help. The vocal haters on that side of the aisle will cost some good dems their jobs.
Agreed. Trump opened very well and on point for the occasion. And also closed in proper context and fashion. In between he sounded like he was stumping and it had no place there yeaterday. Seems the crowd was disengaing by the level of applause during the wandering in the desert segment, and he didn't notice. Also went way too long. Also though it would have been more appropriate to the occasion for the widow to have last say. Maybe it was her say for him to go last, but for me and who I am, if I were POTUS I would have yeilded to the widow regardless.
Also strange...I saw no sign of the 1st Lady & Odd event for him and Elon to chat and shake hands.
Top 3 for me were Gabbard, Rubio, Vance in no particular order (other than Erika). I struggled speaking at my mom and dads funeral. Couldn't imagine doing what she did.
Exactly my point. They want background checks to identify that is not 'worthy' of a right guaranteed them under the 2A, but then do nothing about it. Doesn't that seem a little odd? In other words, it is clear demonstration that the left is ONLY concerned about the weapon, and NOT the person using it.Until they do something to warrant consequences, nothing.
Any chance the Dems may have had evaporated the minute they started opposing Trump‘s anti crime moves.I think the dems will be lucky not to lose half hte seats they got coming up in this mid-term. A microphone Is his squirrel.I was watching at my parents house, about halfway through they went outside during Trumps speech, he started campaigning in the middle of it.
I think the problem with Trump, someone shouldve written a speech for him, told him you have 10 minutes and got him out of there. Instead they let him Ad Lib and he cant help himself but to do what he does.
Then what? That's the problem with YOUR party. You are fine identifying a problem... but then you do nothing about it. For example your 'background checks' for owning a firearm. You would theoretically identify someone as loony or dangerous, then what? You offer NO solutions after the initial identification.
It's their normal anything against Trump platform. It don't even wash good in Dawn anymore. They have nothing else, and no one else, to offer so it never changes. The only certainty is that their stable of candidates for next POTUS cycle is horrid.Any chance the Dems may have had evaporated the minute they started opposing Trump‘s anti crime moves.
Trump bring the National Guard into DC visibly decreased murders and the Dems were COMPLAINING about it?
WHO is their right mind is coming up with strategy for the party?
Yeah, I mean young people are typically predisposed to leaning left politically. But we are starting to see some wild shifts with young white men going Republican.IDK about that. When you are young and have built no wealth, taking people's wealth and redistributing it sounds awesome. Once you've worked a decade or so to build some wealth, the luster of that thought seems to fade.Yeah, I mean young people are typically predisposed to leaning left politically. But we are starting to see some wild shifts with young white men going Republican.
