The 1st team offense can play with anyone. The 1st team defense...and 2nd team... gives up mid-20's to Syracuse and UAB.

They'll give up at least 10 more per game to SEC talent (Exhibit A, UGA 38, in Neyland).

Sorry, but 8-4. 9-3 tops. If JA can stay healthy.

We need an SEC level DC. Until then, we're just gonna have to outscore SEC opponents.

Yeah I mean it’s a good opportunity to get guys in and evaluate them in an actual game environment. A lot of people think we should win 70-0 or it’s a bust. Win handily, get kids experience and get out healthy.

I think that may have been a case of someone seeing something sketchy he shared somewhere (reddit maybe) and it ended up being a young looking adult from a legal porn site. They dropped charges in the end , but all it takes is 1 dumb move to ruin your career when you're in the public eye.

Next week is a game TN loses in year’s past- see USC jr in 2022 and Arkansas 2023.

I think we will be okay vs State. We may bed to win shootouts this yr instead of relying on can’t our D- and that isn’t a bad thing.

Beat State and onto the bye week & hello Mr. Sanders. He should make his first action vs the Hogs. Plus we should see the return of two more - Not McCoy, imo.

If McCoy does return, then it will be against Arkansas so I’m still hoping.

This! Had we kept our starters in there and one of them would have had a season ending injury - those complaining because we didn't win 70-0 would be all over the coach for leaving them in. SMH

The bad news is that this defense is going to give up points in conference play. There is no way around it. The good news is that this defense is going to create many more turnovers and sacks than last years defense. The even better news is that Heupel has shown he can field good teams that win with either offense or defense.

Serious question - have you ever predicted TN to win more than 8-9 games? Did you watch TN football during the Manning years - present?

The GA fans could say the same thing about Joey and TN putting up 38 in regulation - against their top 3 defense. It happens. But most of their fans were happy w/ the win.


Our D has two of its best DBs injured and two D linemen. Moi is a beast. I think our front 7 can be elite with our secondary being the weakness. But anything below 10-2 is disappointing imo.

Every fan base complains about something on their team - offense, defense, penalties, play calling, etc. let’s enjoy the ride as we can win every game.
