That trust was already eroded, we've seen politicization of institutions that had no business invested with politics. They've not done anything to reestablish that trust but I'm not sure it's possible. You can't put toothpaste back into the tube once out.

I think it will be like every other element of government, swinging wildly back and forth in a perpetual dance.

I always saw it as an overcorrection back to the left. There was an opportunity to get back in between the lines....... But overcorrected with the choice.

Not that there's been good choices at all since Clinton/BushI era. But mostly the other became toxic and Internet then social media just amplified it.

Plus we have no galvanizing culture anymore. The country has never been more connected yet fragmented in so many different directions.

He beat who in 2016? It wasn't Obama. And Trump spent years questioning if Ovama was born here. Bc either he's an idiot or calculated. I believe calculated bc he knows how to motivate morons.
