The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

The offensive line of this team is going to make them seem way worse than they actually are. Skoronski might be the only one that could start for another team in the league.

Maybe the scheme stinks, I don’t even know at this point.

I mean, you’re not wrong in the sense that this was always gonna be a long turnaround job. I felt that way going back to Vrabel’s tenure.

But it still feels like a matter of when and not if Callahan gets fired. If I’ve learned anything the last few seasons, it’s that Strunk is very easily swayed by the people inside the building. And Callahan is not this GM’s coach. It’s why I felt we should’ve just cleaned house when we fired Ran Carthon.

I felt beginning of the end when Ran was hired. He had no business getting a GM learning on the job role with a franchise with a somewhat entrenched head coach.

Then came the Levis pick in the same offseason.

The o line doesn't look to have improved much........ I don't get how you can spend the money we did and not improve. I was hoping to see improvement week one to week two. Still early in the game but they look bad on that first drive.

We have to improve our linebacker room too.
Our starting RT was out

We have had a weak pathetic line for years. It’s unacceptable not to have quality back ups. Sick of this cheap franchise.

Backups are gonna play backups. That's the main primary reason they are a backup.

I'm not going to defend the Titans OL performances, but Latham being out is a big drop-off. If we had a coach who could scheme better, we could get Ward more quick looks and you wouldn't notice the OL performance so much.

I just saw Omarr Norman-Lott make a big tackle for Kansas City. May give me a reason to route for them.

They gave praise to the rookie From Tennessee.

We've had 5 coaches since Bud Adams died in 2013. 13 years counting 2013.
Vrabel lasted 6 seasons, half of the years.
4 coaches, counting Cally' and Munchak in 2013 in the other 7 years.

Point is, even with a change, do you trust ownership to make the right decision?

I dont' see how Callahan survives after this season, if he even makes it to the end.

My uneducated opinion is that he doesn’t survive week 7. That is when Vrabel and company roll into town. I don’t even think that highly of this Patriots team or Drake Maye, but I KNOW Vrabel will be up for that one, and I have to assume that he will not miss an opportunity to twist the knife if he gets the chance. And, remember, JRob got fired literally right after we faced the AJ Brown Eagles.

I am fully prepared for Dennard Wilson to be the interim head coach by week 10.

Hell no. I'm actually convinced that Strunk wants team to tank into new stadium season.

I agree. But I think he makes it to the end. TN would have to replace 2 coaches mid season if they fired him, since his Daddy clearly would not stay with his son having been fired.

I don't mind losing either one of them, I just don't think they would do it in season.

Don't think AAS will be involved in a coaching search. It will be up to Borgonzi and Brinker. Don't think she wants to be making football decisions.

Yes, there is hope. Borgonzi was a pretty hot GM candidate too, he would probably want to make a splash hire. Especially with Ward looking promising, new stadium etc.
Even with the cluster that is our game, i feel like Cam is the real deal. he is, or can be, a franchise qb. now is the time to strike and get the right coaches and playerz.

If we land a top 5 pick again (which seems likely) hopefully we are trading out of the pick. We need to be getting extra picks to build up the talent on this team.

The only guy I really love that is projected to be a top 5 pick at a position of need is Caleb Downs.

We need a RB too, and Love is really good, but a team with as many holes as ours can't afford to take a RB in the Top 10.

I agree. That Tackle from Miami is looking nice, but he projects more as a RT or Guard. I say trade down and either take best OL available or Love.

I completely tuned out as far as expectations for this team after they canned Vrabel for asking for exactly what he got with the New England Patriots.
