Hahaha you have no idea who you're talking to on an anonymous forum. I promise you, I would. No chance you ever call me an idiot to my face. Zero! The play backfired and it resulted in a false start. The kicker deserves criticism but the false start backing him up five yards didn’t help. Lots of blame to go around. Go get bent bizz azz wimp.
You could see in his eyes he was never gonna make that kick.None of you understand what that kinda pressure feels like with 100k holding their breath. Max was clearly nervous in the minutes leading up to the kick because Heupel started going super conservative once we passed the 40. Therefore, Heupel allowed the pressure to build. We all knew he wasn't making that.
I'm not talking about the final kick. The post I was responding to was about the possession after the strip sack of Stockton.Did you see how wide that kick was? 5 yards wasn’t helping. It never stood a chance. Pathetic choke job from the kicker. Stupid decision to kick on 3rd down. Horrible penalty to get us there. Kicker choked, end of story.
That’s part of why I’ll get over this quickly. Joey’s a solid QB, made some mistakes as expected in a premier SEC game and made some great throws. We can win with this kid. I just need a few mins to get over Josh’s bad decisions late in the game. Just very mystifying. We should’ve won, but we’re fine and this could be a really good season.Easy there. He blew it but he also took a QB from the leftover bin and did that with him.
He nailed the 48 yarder in OT, but missed the one that mattered. I just don’t understand why Heupel threw Gilbert out there right after we lost 5 yards. That only increased the pressure. Why not try to get a little back on 3rd down?
