OldTimer’s Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

Good morning dugout crew, ITS GAME DAY!
I want to post something to all of you guys, to get this day started.
I allowed myself to get caught up in the emotional craziness of the last week and probably acted out of character a bit.
With that said, my mind has been made up and I will no longer be quiet about things I believe in., I just can’t do it.
I’m not talking about Dolphins vs Jets or Mets vs Phillies, I’m talking the more important issues.
However, from time to time we will disagree on those issues and I may let you know this or you may let me know that you feel I am wrong...I’m ok with that!
My point is, I think the world of this crew, I think of every one of you as friends, even though we’ve never met.
I don’t even care about our differences, I still worry about any of you if you have a Dr appointment, I’m ecstatic when you post your child’s accomplishments, I’ve grieved with you at the loss of loved ones. You guys have helped me through plenty of tough times.
Almost every day I include MY dugout crew in my prayer and I will never stop doing that.
All I want to say is I appreciate you guys allowing me to be a part of this crazy, mostly smart ass group and i know we don’t talk a whole lot of politics in here, but that push and that divide is getting greater by the day and I hope we can keep that noise out, but still respect each others beliefs, know that we are all good people(well, that @BruisedOrange is questionable), despite those opposing beliefs and continue to do what we do best, have fun and act like complete fools!
Now, let’s go kick the 💩 outta some dawgs, because ITS FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!
What an inspiring way to respond to all the recent tragedies. Well said--and well timed!

We can't teach the world to love, but we can care for the people within our own orbits. We can inquire when someone seems down or goes missing for awhile. We can share and cheer on each other's family triumphs, and share in the pain of family setbacks and losses. It's just being a community.

Life is hard enough without going through it alone. And we men are especially prone to taking that route as we assume more and more responsibility. If Tennessee athletics is like a big family, then why shouldn't Tennessee's fans look out for each other like family?

As for being labeled "questionable" by a denizen of the Dugout... 🤨 ...that is like

On a scale from 1-10, how confident are you in todays game?
I think Georgia's staff has been way more afraid of Tennessee's program than they have been of Alabama's. They'll come prepared, so... I'm a 3.

That's not BVS--just logistics. There are some seasons of life when you have to always keep a surplus of positive energy tucked away for emergencies.
