The Official #15 Tennessee vs. #6 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 ET, ABC

I agree that Heupel has not looked as much like the master play caller over the last 2 years. Most of that had to do with our QBs missing throws. We did see him as an offensive mastermind when we had Hooker and Golesh. I am seeing a return to great schemes this year as the offense has evolved and becoming more complex over the last 2 games. That’s what excites me about Heupel this year. He is well-known around college football for his offense and I think he has made the needed changes this year to take things to the next level.
Agreed on the QB, but...and I don't want to pile on....the QBs he's had were his choices except Hooker whom he inherited. Of all the positions to struggle with evals, that was the last one I expected to be a problem.

Saw the terrific sign
Not Today Kirby

I’m hopeful this will be proven right instead of the common familiar result of being hopeful with Tennessee having a realistic chance of winning a high bar challenge game before the disappointing result.

We havent been close to UG's talent level. Hardly anyone has. We have closed the gap, but there's work still to do. If the O line plays well and Joey has some time, we can absolutely win this game.

It is going to be vital that Tennessee offensive line successfully blocks which makes it very realistic that Aguilar has a very prosperous game completing passes, also Tennessee can succeed running the football.

All true, but I'm most concerned about the defense being able to get pressure on their QB and keep him contained.

The best sign I have seen was LSU at UGA. "Billy Ray should have pulled out"

I expect it’s going to be a mix for picks for the Bulldogs Vols game with Candace Parker picking the Vols mainly because it’s a coin flip game.

The Vols this season have a realistic chance to defeat the Bulldogs in Rocky Top which is why if Candace Parker gets criticized as a Rose Colored Vols fan after she picks the Vols in a high bar challenge conference game would be very ridiculous.

The injuries to our Starters is going to make this tough....... may be the key. Georgia's WR's are not slow.

Hopefully we come out chewing on Barbed Wire!!

I’m mostly worried about 3rd down defense. Hasn’t been good so far. Reminds me of 22
We’re giving up only a 24% conversion rate. Pretty good IMO. Think the game day guys nailed it when they said the game will be decided by how effective we are at running the ball.

IT'S GAMEDAY LETS FREAKING GO
TIME TO NEUTER THE PUPPIES

Banks is married to the zone on 3rd down. Its been brought up a ton this week. Beck was something like 15 of 18 passing on us over the middle last year.

I guarantee you this. Georgia won't be sitting in zone. Much as been made about our offensive struggles against them, which is true, but Georgia has also controlled the games by methodically working their way down field picking up big 3rd downs.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised with the 3rd down scheme and calls, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Both starting CB’s not playing, Moi out, Sanders out. It’s an uphill battle

Dear Gameday crowd, please do not fall for Pat Mcafee's little fakeout selection rugpull. You know, the one where he starts singing Rocky Top but then says "NO WAY" and then switches to whatever that stupid UGA chant is. He's gonna do it. You know he's gonna do it. We know he's gonna do it. Everyone knows he's gonna do it. It's his trademark move.

Don't fall for it. Boo his ass the whole way. Send him to the river!
