I’m afraid you’re right so far as football goes, he should have stayed in Knoxville. Hopefully he is smarter with the substantial nest egg he has acquired. I have my doubts.

Was not just a matter of him getting more NIL in Knoxville. He did his 4 years playing for UT he would have probably had a nice enough life even if things didn't work out in football

I'm sure he would have had lines of companies wanting to hire him just to play golf with clients, etc.

LA is filled with celebrities and has multiple pro teams in most leagues. He's tied his future to a place where even if he was an All American he would be page 2 news. I wish him luck--I really do, but he made a VERY bad decision.

Yeah, I hadn’t really thought of it that way, but that makes sense. Much more comfortable to be a big fish in a smaller pond so to speak.

It’s not even close
I grew up going to a ton of USC Trojan games, home, away, spring and bowl games etc... don't hire Clay Helton and try to sell me we are a college football blueblood/powerhouse. I had to accept I was sold something false regardless of childhood memories. I saw the pac 10/12 for what it was. So bad I had to move to Knoxville! Lol
