Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Methinks this wouldn't have been the response if the shooter weren't a straight white kid from a conservative gun-loving Republican family.

Charles Manson's father was a Colonel
kentucky boy too... although Colonel may be the dad's name and not an O6 rank according to wiki.

Charles Milles Maddox was born on November 12, 1934, to 16-year-old Ada Kathleen Maddox of Ashland, Kentucky, in Cincinnati General Hospital (now the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center) in Cincinnati, Ohio.[13][14][15] Manson's Ohio birth certificate simply lists his name as "Manson."[13] His biological father appears to have been Colonel Walker Henderson Scott Sr.[16] of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, against whom Maddox filed a paternity suit that resulted in an agreed judgment in 1937.[17] Scott worked intermittently in local mills, and had a local reputation as a con artist. He allowed Maddox to believe that he was an army colonel, although "Colonel" was merely his given name. When Maddox told Scott that she was pregnant, he informed her that he had been called away on army business; after several months she realized he had no intention of returning.[18] Manson never knew his biological father.

1. If you cared about justice, you’d be glad he had a conservative Republican family. Given they’re the ones who turned him in?

2. How do you know he’s straight? He looks twink level scrawny. May just be the left wing male karyotype

He tweeted a suspect was in custody when in fact a suspect was in custody.

A suspect was in custody when he Tweeted that...

A suspect being one suspected of the crime which investigation will determine if they are or are not.

This one just wasn't the suspect they thought they had. It wasn't responsible for him to Tweet that out, but he wasn't wrong in saying it either.

The thing is, since that time we've dealt with SecDef and Service Secretary issues because they were:

1. Former defense industry insiders
2. Career bureaucrats that got cushy jobs with the defense industry after "retiring/resigning"
3. Former military flag officers that were a part of the system they helped create

Look, I raised my eyebrows at Hegseth when he was nominated (I thought Tulsi might be a better fit) but as I pointed out to LG in one of his gnashing of teeth threads, Hegseth wag an interesting choice since it has never been tried before and he was a complete outsider.

How often have you heard active duty members say "if I ran the service, I'd do it this way..."? Well, they've got their chance now. They are the ones running it. And we'll have to see how that turns out.
We’ve both commented on the inbred incestuous relationship between SECDEF appointees and military contractor BOD service. I wish it would be an automatic disqualifier for the job honestly. Hell I wish we’d see negligible BOD jobs after general/admiral career retirement. It screams openly conflict of interest to me.

You guys have gone from "we hereby declare war on the left for their violent political rhetoric" to "thank God he came from a conservative family that turned him in."

You think he's competent?

It's hard to respect him after his Epstein 180.

I'll give you that on the Epstein bit but I don't think he's incompetent either.

There's something far deeper going on with the Epstein thing than I think we know. I don't know what, but for Patel, Bongino, Bondie and Trump to do a 180 is telling of something way deeper we just don't know about but it's scary enough that nobody talks about it.

Nobody. Because you damn well know if Trump was implicated, someone would have released that already.

The strange thing? A few weeks ago the victims finally said they were going to come up with their own list. My question is...

Why didn't they do that years ago after the stonewalling by the various Admins? Including Trump's first term. Nothing was stopping them then and nothing has come out since that PC a few weeks ago.

Are you saying you don’t believe this guy was left and your evidence is that his parents who turned him in weren’t leftis?

You should demand a refund from your law school

What makes you think he's competent?

Qualified would be a better term it’s still early to judge competence. And this is all that porcine rube @hog88 ‘s fault! He brought up competency I merely said Patel and Hegseth were underwhelming appointees. A comment which I stand by.

some on social media are saying that picture is 8 years old making him about 14 at that time
Apparently he was at a family dinner and they were talking about Kirk coming to the campus. They were talking about how bad they thought Kirk was from a news report

I don’t mind the transparency and glad he said suspect and not “shooter.”

Well you haven’t watched enough Kirk clips to know he would want people to pray the young man that shot him

Your obsession with his parents instead of what radicalized this person is completely on brand for you.

we know they loved guns, and gather was law enforcement. But do we know how conservative his parents were? And in the case of a son who seemed to reject those conservative beliefs of his parents (if they indeed were conservative at all) what bearing does it have on this shooting?
