And if we take his point to its logical conclusion, then one can just argue that the liberal who shot Kirk is absolved because he was retaliating for the conservative killing two Dems in June, because to him that's the starting point.

Nope, better just to not condone any form of political violence.

Youre either a liar or stupid. Or maybe both. Nothing in that tweet is untrue lol. You dont get to start a war and then play the victim. There is no justifying the deaths of women and children, just correctly placing the blame where it belongs.

Good luck with that. Facts don’t matter to a person that believes Jews don’t have a right to live safely and freely in their indigenous homeland.

It’s usually a very heinous crime that could lead to those things that you listed happening.

School shootings or crimes against children shake me to my core. It builds a lot of rage up inside and your first thoughts are revenge or harm to the alleged perpetrator.

In addition to what Volfanhill & 85SugarVol have stated, I'll add a couple things.
1. I've seen no empirical evidence that the death penalty reduces murder. I think I've seen studies that most states have seen increases despite the death penalty being implemented.
2. It's cost less to incarcerate a man for life than than to carry out an execution.

I can't logically condone the death penalty. It also goes against my spiritual beliefs. Despite my reasoning and spiritual beliefs, I'll admit my internal conflict. When I hear of particularly heinous crimes, I find myself hoping for the death penalty and suffering upon the perpetrator.

I respect your opinion and understand the internal conflict. I support the death penalty as long as there is DNA AND other compelling evidence to where there can be no doubt who committed the crime. Example: that animal that just butchered that poor little girl from Ukraine here in Charlotte. There is clear video evidence of him killing her plus surely some DNA and even the 3 other sorry azz people within 6ft of the crime who did nothing to help her who can testify that it was in fact this guy. He should be executed once found guilty IMO and the video available to ALL citizens.

Also, last I read it costs almost $30,000 a year to house 1 inmate in prison. Bet its even more now. To hold a murderer for just 30 years is gonna be a million dollars. There is no way on Earth that its cheaper to house a murderer than kill them. Not even close. Whether lethal injection, the chair, or firing squad...it is orders of magnitude cheaper to kill them. In cases of overwhelming evidence as I describe above, we need to fast lane them to execution like Texas does once it is certain they will die. No 20 years of appeals just to waste time once the high threshold has been met. 12 months, adios.
