Yes. Storm the field if we defeat UGA (Go Vols)

That doesn't answer the question. The '98 team was fresh off an SEC title, top 10 finish, preseason top 10, projected to finish 2nd in the East, only 2.5 point dogs to Florida (so hardly disrespected as some have claimed), and only lost 5 straight to them yet that one is idolized. The other two I mentioned are so obscure yet no one complains about those. Why is it so bad to rush it against a top 5 team, bigger underdogs, and a much longer losing streak? I swear, some live in the 90s and are too oblivious (or in too much denial and wanting the nostalgia) to realize that this is not the same UGA program it was when they were growing up.
I'm not living in the 90's - I'm living now where there's a half a million dollar fine for rushing the field we'd have to pay TO GEORGIA

we'd be helping them with their NIL fund

If that was your primary argument, you wouldn't have gone with the "we're elite enough" front and center. You don't want a storming because of the financial penalty, fine. But acting like a win against this UGA program now in 2025 based on everything the last 10 years is not on par with Florida of '98 in relevance and importance, the 2 Auburn stormings, the ND storming (really dunno what that was about other than it happened) is just living in denial.

As someone who has participated in this type of thing before in the 90s it just happens spontaneously and organically, not something you can plan 😂

I’ll be as thrilled as anyone if we beat them but it’sa no for me. We are a proud storied program no need to act like a mid major if we win it.

If the win is beyond doubt in the last 10-15 seconds, this could be managed by the AD with a simple PA request from Heupel that the fans remain in the stands until after UGA has cleared the field. If the game is still in the balance, all bets are off.

Was Tennessee not elite when rushing it in '98? What about rushing it for Auburn in '89? That was while #12 vs only a #4 and a 4-5-1 record against them the previous 10. What about Notre Dame in '79 which was just the 2nd meeting ever?
But there were no fines involved. It makes a difference.

500K for storming the field? Big deal. That's like 5 dollars to the University or giving 5 dollars to UGA. How much do you think UT makes at a sold out UGA football game?

On SEC this Morning, Ron Slay just hit it on the head. For us geezers, no rush because we know the history and not that big a deal. For the young’ens losing to GA is all they know, so, yes rush the field

If the fines are the reason, then comments about "being too elite" wouldn't outnumber the comments about the fines 10 to 1.
Put it this way. Storming the field means losing $$$. Use NIL to become elite. NIL takes $$$. Now storming the field means less $$$. Therefore less NIL means less $$$ to become elite.

That's a stretch that barely a couple if not no one has said in this thread.

Its still $500K they cannot spend on TN things. Not sure D. White would buy your reason.

If we win by a last second play, like a walk off FG, OT, or Hail Mary, I'm all for storming the field. Any other circumstance, I'm in the no category.
Go ahead....I would love to see a handful of drunk fans get Goldberged by security to cap off the game!

I know this an inherent insult to say, but I live in the here and now.
Heupel is 0-4 against UGA as UTs coach.
Georgia has won 9 straight?? They’ve been the dominant program in all of college football imo the last 10 years.

They have a QB that can run and throw.
They have 2 of the most explosive players that ever suited up for Bishop Gorman and Mater Dei starting. Zach Branch and the RB.
Their line averages 6’6 330 and 3rd year.

Defense…
NB (5 star)
FS (5 star)
NT (5 Star)
ILB (5 star)
and bunch of other talented guys in their two deep. CJ Allen. Chris Cole. A bunch of dudes.

If we beat them then we should absolutely storm the field
Correct me please but didn’t Sanky say something about forfeit if there was a field storm? I’m not sure, just heard it somewhere.

Please don’t storm the field. It’s Georgia, not Bama and 15 years of frustration. It’s 8 games. They are not the dynasty program that Bama was.
