Interestingly early Christians can be accused of the very same things. Poor treatment of women, gays, slavery, pedophilia, etc. are all part of Western Civilization as well. Also one could argue that from the 1500s to the 1800s nobody committed more terrorism and violence globally than Christian European nations.

It looks to me as though the issue here isn't religion (since Christians are guilty of the same offenses) but instead one of modern liberal values versus traditional conservative values. The only sin Muslims have committed seems to be they follow the values of the Abrahamic religions more closely than modern Christians and Jews. So the problem isn't actually Islam. The problem is religion. In particular Abrahamic religions.

But I'm guessing most Christians don't want to condemn their own religion as well so instead they pretend as though they are clear of any wrongdoings.

And neither are Jews. There are white Jews, Arab Jews, and Black Jews.

Also with regard to Islam. While its not a race there is a racial component to it. Most Muslims countries are black or brown while there are almost no white European Muslim countries. So when you say Muslims are barbaric and backwards its hard not read a racial component into it.

And in the Quran it says anyone who kills an innocent life is as if they have killed all of humanity. Nothing in the Quran validates killing people unless its in self-defense.

my problem is not with the Quran, my friend. My problem is with radicalized, militant muslims who desire spreading islam through subjugation.

True, Jew is not a race but is considered an ethnicity. Islam is just a religion.

But that's not what is happening here. You're not separating the actual tenants of the religion (which are very similar to Christianity by the way) from the bad actors who are simply engaging in acts of violence because they have political grievances.

Because so many Westerners are ignorant of the actual religion of Islam what they've done is demonized the religion by attributing the actions of people with political grievances to the religion. All I'm doing is trying to educate yall on the fact that the actual religion is different from the actions of a few.

But unfortunately as humans we like to default to hatred. So its easier to just hate on people whose beliefs are different from yours rather than realizing we're all the same and our actions really come down to circumstances rather than inherent qualities.

Doesn't matter what its considered. What matters is what's true. And the truth is there are Jews who are black and Jews who are white. They have nothing in common either phenotypically nor linguistically other than their religion.

Jews from Ethiopia and Jews from Poland have as much in common outside of religion as Muslims in Somalia and Muslims in Albania.

There are people of several races that practice Judaism. But Jew is an ethnicity.

Ethnic groups share languages and culture. Ethiopian Jews spoke the same language and had the same culture as their neighboring Christian Ethiopians. While Polish Jews spoke the same language and had the same culture as their Christian neighbors. Neither population spoke Hebrew (which is the original language of the Jewish people). If you went to either of these communities 100 years ago they would have little in common other than the religion.

The idea of Jews being an ethnicity is a myth. A very long time ago it might have been the case. But it isn't anymore. And similarly a long time ago all Muslims were Arabs from the Quraysh tribe. But they aren't anymore. Both groups are just religions. Neither is more racially or ethnically linked than the other. Jews are just far small in population. That's the only real difference.

There is a concept in Christianity that goes something like this: you will know them by their fruits. Matthew 7. Those bad actors not following the tenets are the fruits of that sect of Islam. Those deserve the ire they receive. They bring enmity upon themselves.

Peaceful adherents of all religions are great. Thankfully, they are the majority. They unfortunately just do not get the attention of the media.
