A boat carrying Greta Thunberg towards Gaza has reportedly been set ablaze in a suspected drone strike off the coast of North Africa.

The 22-year-old Swedish climate firebrand is part of a controversial convoy of around 350 activists and aid workers, sailing on what they describe as a 'peaceful mission' to deliver supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.

But reports have emerged overnight that one of the vessels – the so-called Family Boat, flying under a Portuguese flag and carrying members of the flotilla's Steering Committee, including Greta – was attacked 'by a drone and caught fire' off the coast of North Africa.


A dramatic video posted by fellow activist Yasemin Acar on Instagram showed the aftermath of the incident, as she declared: 'The Family boat has been officially attacked – a drone came right above it, released a bomb and it exploded and the boat was on fire. Everyone on that boat is ok. The fire is out.'

Fighting is stupid.
Attacking someone because of your own fragile feelings is stupid. Being surprised when someone defends themselves because of that fragility can leave you dead. It’s best if everyone learns to keep their hands to themselves.

But it’s not the media’s job to help support those beliefs (whether they are true or not wasn’t my point). I’m sure they do have some influence, just as any other lobbyists do. But to say that US politics is held hostage by Israel/Jews is a bit extreme and isn’t just simply a fact

Oh you can definitely defend yourself you just better be able to prove the force is justified and it was a true threat. There’s been cases in Florida that were “self defense” and went to jail even with stand your ground law

No definitely not justified that’s why I said from the start both guys are idiots. When you do that you’re going to cause a reaction the man was clearly surprised and caught off guard. If you’re not prepared don’t escalate things. It takes an idiot to think snatching someone’s phone is gonna cause the dude to walk away and leave you alone
