Israel vs Palestinians II

Somebody found MAD

Our guy who claims to be the strongest on free speech (same one who spent years defending FB’s limits on free speech under Biden pressure) is now promoting people being physically harmed for holding a sign?

I’d have shot that stupid MFer that walked up.
What a bitch. Can’t handle a different opinion so you beat an old man.
Not surprised at the ****tard glorifying it.

“Would you say they deserved it?”

“We do not endorse harm against anyone and are reporting the incident as news”

Hmm…those two statements seem contradictory. Seems they’re very much claiming he deserved it

You're so on brand. Nobody is surprised that you would kill somebody because they retaliated against you.

Don't advocate for murdering children, and don't touch people who are taking your picture while you're advocating the murder of children. Problem solved.

“Don’t advocate for murdering children”- our free speech champion out here using speech to justify physically harming another person.

And the bitch would be dead wrong if he attacked the wrong person.
Sure, so would the old guy tho. Snatching someone’s phone is a felony is some states. The signs inflammatory and so is shoving a phone in someone’s face when they don’t want it. Both got their reactions

In your own words if possible, what problem started there?
Asserted problem:
“Qatar, Saudi Arabia & UAE Funneled Billions Into U.S. Universities
For decades, Arab states have poured money into American higher education — more than $14.6 BILLION since 1981 — much of it undisclosed, raising urgent questions about foreign influence on U.S. campuses.”

Rationale stated as to why it is a problem:
“These funds don’t come free. They buy silence, narrative control, and campus climates hostile to Israel and Jewish students — while legitimizing regimes that finance terror and antisemitism.

This isn’t just money. It’s a pipeline of influence from regimes tied to terrorism into America’s classrooms.”

What do you not understand, East?

Why you're such a mindless cheerleader for a poorly behaved foreign country, among other things.
Your quote of ? is about a branch university in Qatar. I'd like to know what problem @MAD had in mind for the rest.

Courts have been clear on this. If you step into a person’s interpersonal space, especially when there’s plenty of room not to do so, then you have the right to assume they mean you harm and you have the right to defend yourself.
The sign is protected free speech. The phone in your face is a defendable action. Don’t walk up on someone’s interpersonal space in an obvious attempt to intimidate, and you don’t get you phone slapped away. Don’t attack someone for your intrusion into their space and you don’t get shot.
Pretty simple.

And unlike the FTs in this thread…..I’ve consistently held that position for the proHamas protestors. They also have the first amendment right to hold whatever signs they want free of intimidation incursions on thier interpersonal space.

It's an atrocity against civilian noncombatants so of course it's to be condemned.
I don't see you condemning the IDF's atrocities, just lying and denying fault.
Typical non answer from the game playing FT.
Do love the owning that you’re a Hamas supporter though

I was going to condemn it, but was afraid that would be used as an admission that I am a dipstick.

I didn’t know what to do!

I’ll have to look into the bold as I haven’t heard of that. But if we’re taking the stance of he felt threatened, there’s 15 states that have the (idiotic) duty to retreat and idk what state it happened in. I would say off the short video without seeing what happened prior no court would say shooting him would be justified not even in stand your ground states

Isnt personal space essentially just a social norm with no legal backing? You’d have to prove assault or harassment

I can only speak to where I am at and the self defense classes I’ve taken. You absolutely do not have to allow someone to walk up on you. Their fragility does not negate your 1st amendment rights. And intimidation in an effort to silence you isn’t protected speech.

An example of how to deal with people walking up on you.
A slight step backwards into a defensive position. A raised hand to stop their forward progress. If the threat remains or escalates, disable them as quickly as possible and leave.
Don’t play tough guy and stand around.

Boat Carrying Greta Thunberg Towards Gaza Is Set On Fire 'by Drone' Off North Africa: Flotilla organisers say 'acts of aggression aimed at derailing our mission will not deter us'

A boat carrying Greta Thunberg towards Gaza has reportedly been set ablaze in a suspected drone strike off the coast of North Africa.

The 22-year-old Swedish climate firebrand is part of a controversial convoy of around 350 activists and aid workers, sailing on what they describe as a 'peaceful mission' to deliver supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.

But reports have emerged overnight that one of the vessels – the so-called Family Boat, flying under a Portuguese flag and carrying members of the flotilla's Steering Committee, including Greta – was attacked 'by a drone and caught fire' off the coast of North Africa.

A dramatic video posted by fellow activist Yasemin Acar on Instagram showed the aftermath of the incident, as she declared: 'The Family boat has been officially attacked – a drone came right above it, released a bomb and it exploded and the boat was on fire. Everyone on that boat is ok. The fire is out.'

To the contrary. I’ve detailed in numerous posts - several to you - my reasono for supporting Israel, inviting competing arguments. That you claim to not understand why I support them is odd. My cheerleading is well considered and quite…mindful.

But you also have to prove it was threatening to respond violently in the eyes of the law

People are free to say whatever they want but that doesn’t mean they won’t face consequences and reactions. If I walk down the side of street yelling slurs at everyone I see eventually I’m gonna get my ass beat. I’m exercising my right to the 1stA but I’m also an idiot for being inflammatory and I’d be even more of an idiot if I didn’t expect there to be reactions from it
